Since, I'm new to the forum I don't know if anyone has posted this in the past. I am an advocate of homeopathic medicine and conventional when needed. But, just in case you are not familar with the book you need read it. The author is Dr. Hulda Clark, Ph.D, N.D.

If you have a homeopathic or naturopathic physician near you and need any of the products in this book they can help. Some of the basics that everyone needs to keep their family healthy is in four easy sections called Four cleanups. If you have kids and pets you need this book. Also, if you get sick often this will show you how to cut back on those reoccuring illnesses.

I know most of you read novels and crafting books, etc...and I'm sure have a medical reference book of some kind. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the homeopathic doctor that saved my life 2 1/2 year ago. So, I feel I need to share my story and experience so others may benefit as well.

Also, I have to share this about my daughter who was 16 at the time. She became ill and had a sinus infection. My accurputurist told me we needed to get her a blood test. We did, and it showed infection. I took her to the MD and the women was a joke, she never listened to my daughters lungs. Sent us home with an RX. Well, after 4 days of not getting better and getting hives I called their office and they said to stop the RX she was allergic. So, I said enough of this, I took her to my homeopathic dr. and she tested her and found that she had viral pnuemonia which because of the RX went bacterial. So, she gave her homeopathic meds and within a week she could walk and breath again and in another week was completely well.

I must say that natural meds. are only effective when administered by a licensed homeopathic doctor. You can't just go to the health food store or order online and treat yourself.

I have more stories to share at a later date. Once you get the book and read it you'll have lots of questions.

Happy reading!!
Marjean

My best book is--"Prescription for Nutritional Healing'--It is a practical A-Z reference to drug-free remidies using vitamins, minerals and herbs. It is by Balch and Balch. Friends will call me and say, "i've got this or that, what does your book say." Anyway it works for me. MB

Mary Beth,

I have that one too. Dr. Clark's book is a totally different protocol. Her's is a clean house and body approach. It is really different. Check it out at the library and find out how different it is.

Hi ladies! I have to say, that as a "Medical Professional" (I'm a Medical Assistant by trade-- not the HIGHEST Totem on the pole-- but Hey, I'm not dumb just 'cause I ain't no doctor!!! LOL) I have seen the good, the bad and the UGLY side of "traditional" medicine. There are EXCELLENT Doctors, GOOD Doctors, there are BAD doctors and there are REEEAAALLY BAD doctors, and trust me when I say I've just about seen 'em ALL! But I have to say the BEST doctors are the ones who are not opposed to, and, are in fact, VERY knowledgeable about Homeopathic medicine. Given a choice, I too would go to a homeopathic doctor since traditional medications are detrimental to my health!

I have the strangest drug allergies on the planet and not even three MD's and two different allergy SPECIALISTS knew what to do with me!! So, my only option has been to do things as naturally as possible. That, or not get sick.... EVER! Which is just plain silly and impossible to do! One thing I have learned over the years, since I CAN'T take medications, is that I MUST stay healhy by watching my diet. I like the idea of the book you mention Marsha. I mean, if you stop and think about what MOST of us eat, no matter how HEALTHY we THINK it is, it's really all just garbage--- genetically modified grains, corn, soy, foods chemically stripped of "natural" nutrients and then chemically enhanced to replace what was stripped out etc..... ICK!! The idea of purging your body of all toxins, then starting over with only natural foods makes perfect sense. Without doing that FIRST is like putting fresh oil in your car without draining the OLD oil first. You can't expect your car to run right that way!! And you certainly can't expect your body to either! I think this is a book I will DEFINITELY have to check out. Thanks for sharing. ~~~ Tracy

HI Tracy,
I thought I was one of the few with CSD (chemical sensitivity disorder). I developed this after getting Lyme and no MD could diagnose me for over one year. They did MRI and CT one after another and that killed my poor liver. My awful exper. left me looking like a person being starved to death. My body shut down and started attacking itself. I would have died had it not been for this wonderful hollistic phy. my friend told me about.

You are absolutly right about all the junk in food. I can only eat organic completely chemical free food. Have you ever heard of the author JOrdan Rubin who has crohn's disease. If you see the pic of him before he got help that is what I looked liked. I met him at my health food store. Now he looks very healthy. But, his diet will not work for me. I have a candida problem and malabsorbtion too.

That is why I say find a good hollistic phy. and consult with them about your own body. Just another note I have asthma and reflux on top of my many other issues and since going to this woman I am off all RX and have not had one asthma attack. Yeah!!!
THanks for both ladies for sharing!

Good health to you,
Marjean

Oh, wow Marsha! My heart just BREAKS to think you suffered so terribly!!!!!!! As for my "issues" there really is NO explaination for it. The doctors are completely baffeled and don't know what to make of me. My symptoms developed gradually over time, not due to any health issues--- in fact, as one of my Favorite doctors commented "You are so DAMN healthy it's DISGUSTING!!" (His EXACT words! and he'd been a physician for almost 50yrs!!!) All the other doctors agreed.

The only really MAJOR issue I've developed over the last 2yrs is that I have a hard time maintaing my iron levels. If I take iron supplements (even LOW dose), my levels go through the roof! When I stop taking the iron it drops out the bottem. I think a more balanced diet-- with more PROTEIN will help that level out. Funny, but I have tried the Atkins diet and other High protien, low carb diets, and they work PERFECT for me-- but I have such a TERRIBLE sweet tooth and I simply ADORE potato chips!! (BAD! BAD! BAD!! I know!) it's very hard for me to stick to them.

My first doctor (who has since passed on) believed that my strange allergies stem from some inherited form of the disease my mother died from at the age of 47. It's called Tachayasis Arteritis-- an auto-immune disorder that, at the time SHE was diagnosed, was EXTREMELY rare. Frighteningly enough, it is now on the rise-- including a JUVINILE form! But, unlike the type SHE dealt with, these newer cases often go into remission. It's still not very well understood and Doctors and Scientists still have no idea if it's Hereditary or not (tests so far point to: NOT) and how it's contracted. But I do have to say that so far each of my siblings have ALSO had some strange health issues that doctors are puzzled by-- and each of us have something different. Mine happens to be weird allergies. Food additives are starting to become a factor for me too! I've started to notice a pattern over the past few years, but can't quite pinpoint the culprits. It's no good to see a specaialist as they've ALREADY tried to help me, but failed. I just hope that whatever it is does NOT pass on to my children or my grandchildren. That's certainly not the kind of Legacy I want to leave behind!!

Oh, and yes, I have read the Story of Jordin Rubin. (those pictures of him at 111lbs made me CRY!!!) INCREADABLE story!!!!!! He beat a disease that is supposedly INcurable!! But, like you said, his methods for restored health won't work for EVERYBODY, just like those High Protien/Low Carb diets don't work for everybody either. In fact, they are detrimental to the health of SOME individuals-- especailly people with poor functioning, or NO, gallbladders! Also people with Kidney problems. Not good at all.... I guess I'm one of the few exceptions. I feel so much better on High protien/low carbs. I can actually feel it when I'm not eating right, in more ways than one, and I have discovered that Artificial sweetners (even SPLENDA!) make my bones and joints ACHE something FIERCE!!! Thanks so much for sharing and I'm so glad you are on the road to good health. Keep on truckin' on!!! Hugs~~~ Tracy

Hi again Tracy,
Something you said jogged my memory of a friend of mine with weird allergies. She has extreme asthma as well and has been on steroids and $1000 a month kinds and her body finally said no more. So, the doctors scratching their head said now what? So, low and behold she went to a naturopath who said parasites cause allergies and asthma etc...just exactly is what Dr. Clark talks about. Come to find out there is a worm that gets into the lungs and in some of us causes the asthma and allergies and a virus called coxsackie, which I have.
Just wanted to share that.
Once you read her book get on the parasite stuff, nastiest tasting herbs you will every find but just mix with a little juice or green tea and you can survive. lol and you will notice a difference in your allergies.
I could go on but I will stop. lol

I have thought about the Parasite thing and know that statistics determine that 80+% of the American population carry parasites and don't even know it. No one has ever requested a parasite test on me (THANK GOD!). I know that the tests do not always detect parasites anyway, so.... but that is one thing I will definitely try. It couldn't hurt anyway. (although I hope that old addage "the cure is worse than the condition" does not apply here!). As for Asthma, I've never had a problem. My allergies were mostly environmental (that the doctors knew for SURE). I was basically allergic to EVERYTHING THAT GROWS!!! As for the drug allergies... well, we're learning as I go. I actually was on nearly 2yrs of immuno therapy. I got two shots every single week for all that time, (couldn't take the pills due to reactions) then all of a sudden things went haywire. After three "episodes," each WORSE than the last, the Doctor said NO MORE!! She was afraid that the shots might actually KILL me! But what was puzzling was the fact that I had had NO problems whatsoever for nearly two years. Then all of a sudden BAM! It hits. Normally if someone is going to "fail" the therapy it comes within the firs few treatments, or the first few MONTHS at the most. Not that far into it like I was. They basically told me there was nothing more they could do. Have a nice LIFE!

Anyway, you'll be happy to know that I just ordered Dr. Clark's book on Amazon.com for less than $10 (not including shipping). I can't wait to read it! I should get it within the next two weeks (hopefully sooner!) I'll let you know what I think, and what I try. Thanks again for pointing it out! hugs~~~ Tracy

Does she treat long distance? 'Cause she's clear at the OTHER END OF THE COUNTRY from me! But I will keep her phone # handy, in case I have any questions for her. I always say that the best "advertisement" is "word of mouth," especailly in the Medical community. Even the HOLISTIC "medical" community! Thanks! Hugs again! ~~~ Tracy
