I saw on the weather that Louisiana is suppose to get rain all week long! I'm in SW Louisiana, today we had a little breeze going on. I loved it, but my cats were super happy with the breeze. Stay dry farmgirls from LA.

The storms seem to be hopping over us lately. When storms are predicted, I hear the thunder and see the lightning, but somehow they seem to go around us for some reason.

Marly, Hurricane Gustav is suppose to be headed our way, you keep watch for it as it is already a Cat.1 If it does what they are saying it might do, girlfriend you don't ride it out ya hear? Come up here and bring all of your kitties and doggie too!

Brenda!
You are much too kind to say bring all the kitties and doggie. My dh and I have been watching the weather channel all afternoon. This morning someone call asking if we wanted to see our travel trailer. From 3 PM until we saw the weather at 6PM, we were cleaning the inside of the camper. We decided we'd better keep the travel trailer for a while, or at least until hurricane season is over. We are 30 minutes from Lafayette. So, getting out of town has to be done at least two days before the thing hits, if it does. Where are you? Oh, gee---- I'm not going to sleep tonight! LOL I'd better get my sleep now, because by Monday I surely will not be sleeping. I'm already praying!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Brenda for chatting,
Marly

I just hope none of us have to go through the Katrina/Rita type thing again. I'm not a LA girl but I went through some stuff! AGH!

Poppin in to say good morning and say we are watching Gustav as well. Rita/Katrina was enough for me to realize we are never really prepared. But I am working today on just that.

I am up here close to Shreveport/Bossier City. Just enough out of harms way. I'm not joking... please don't leave those babies behind. Maybe it will fizzle out or get re-directed?? Let's keep our fingers crossed!

Thanks, Brenda.
I've been hearing the helicopters over the house all morning. I guess they are bring the men and women in from the off shore rigs. I'll be getting important papers together, getting the travel trailer ready to go, and praying. I'll check back later. You are such a sweetie, Brenda.

You are hearing the helicopters already? My youngest brother works on a rig in Coastal City. It is not actually offshore, but they are in water full of alligators! He drives and is probably already home by now, I'll have to check and make sure. Hopefully, it will fizzle out!
