Well we had quite the shower this am, now it's hot again but I hear thunder and smell rain. Thinking I should look at radar.

We got the rain from Texas today. Don't you just love when you can smell the rain? I love it. I can't wait until the temperature drops. I love the cool weather.

Send some up here to the NW please!!! We're supposed to heat up to 105* by the weekend. UGH!!! lol

The smell of rain is one of my FAVORITE smells!!!.. got a whiff of it last night before I went to bed & by morning I had 2.5" in my rain gauge!!!.. very unusual for this part of Texas (near Lubbock).. I'm thrilled, I just planted some little trees yesterday & was worried that they might not get a good start... maybe they'll have a chance to get growing now that they got a good soaking...

yea LeslieAnne glad you got some rain. We here in Central are going to get plenty of it. It poured today and looks like we will have it tomorrow through Tuesday! YEA! we sure need it.

Ohhhhhhhhhh another shower today! and cooler nights- I love it! I am in the studio tonight and I can still smell the rain and feel the cool breeze coming in through the windows!

looks like all our rain won't be here until in the morning.... i loved all the rain we had last week.. and the temps were amazing, but now we're back into the 90's again.

D.A., we have been getting the much needed rain we have needed. It is awesome! I saw today on the news that a hurricane could be headed this way next week.

Hurricane Gustav is already a catagory 1 and the forcasters predict it to strengthen and head toward TX and LA. Be watchful and stay safe!!
