I planted some about 5 years ago. It is now taking over my front garden beds. Hogging out space where other plants were/are growing. It is now showing up in the cracks of the sidewalk. What is going on? It's almost as bad as the morning glory that drags my flowers down.
I love the buttercups when they're in bloom - soooo pretty. But it really is taking over. I'd love to contain it. Is it possible? Should I start digging now?
Oooooo...pretty. Think I could get it to take over my lawn? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want it to invade my garden beds...but this lawn? Yee haw...set 'er loose!
Thanks for that site, Alee. That was really helpful.
I've never noticed any seeds on it. I'll have to look closer. This is going to take me awhile to get rid of. It said viable seeds have been recovered after 80 years! YIKES!
It would look lovely if it covered my lawn. A no mow lawn. That would be so cool! But instead it has taken over my flower garden.
Ugh-I feel your pain. That is something I would NEVER plant! It's taking over my lawn, creeping in my beds, and has inundated my pasture-to-be area. It creeps faster than I can dig it out. It is considered a weed of concern in my county, as is the tall version. Really-you don't want it.
