Hi gals,
I am looking for a YOYO swap but I don't want to host it (I am finishing up my dolly clothes swap). I miss making YOYOs and seeing yours!
How about it, anyone up to it???

Linda, I love making the yo-yo's and seeing others too but can't seem to break this crochet spell that I'm in right now....gotta go with for a while I think.

Surely there's someone that will host the swap though.

ok Steph...thanks for a response. I'll keep watching.
:-)
I crochet so much that now I have sore hand/wrist muscles...long medical term. It hurts and I wear a stretch bandage on my wrist. It's from typing or crochet or knit...lol
It's time to do another craft..use different muscles...???

I wouldn't mind being in a yo yo swap but have no idea how to start one so I will sign up if someone else gets it going. beverley

Glad you want to do this too, Beverley. We could just start making some and keep them on hand for when a swap starts. :-)

Last winter we had Halloween theme and then Christmas theme yoyos.
It's the perfect thing to do with small bits of fabric and it's a portable craft too.

I have a batch of them, let me know when you all do a swap. I can't host one right now, our TX chapter is getting ready to start a friendship quilt. Let me know though and in the meantime I will keep making them.

Hi girls,
I would be willing to host this swap. I will consider those who have already posted their interest in this thread as having signed up first. **Just email me to let me know you are still interested.**

Here are SWAP rules, dates etc.

1. We will limit this to 15 people and sign ups will be until Aug 30th.

2. We will each make a set 50 yo yos. To make them uniform size use the cd idea as a pattern. (For those who have never done this we use the size of a cd for cut out so when stitched they will all be the same.)

3. Have them sent to me postmarked no later than September 20th. (email me for address)

4. When finished you will mail to me: your yo yos, a self addressed pre-postaged envelope for mailing them back to you. If you DO NOT send postage you will NOT receive the yo yos back. If you are late I will send back your own package.

***Please be considerate when signing up. If you cannot make the deadline please reconsider doing the swap as it causes a long wait for others when things are not done in a timely manner.***

I know some of these sound rigid, but rudeness is not my intent. In order to have a good swap we need to honor our commitments and make them a priority. If you still want a swap hostess. I will be glad to do it according to these rules.

I will hold off for this one as we are just getting ready to start our friendship quilt for Sept in our Tx chapter. Plus I have alot made up but they are not CD size so I will catch the next one. You all have fun! I love yo' yo's!

Sorry you can't do this one AngiKay. We will lookout for you on the next one around!
The only reason we do the cd size is because a lot of people use them for making a quilt and it is easier if they are all the same size.
Hugs,
Denise
ps I have your book ready to go

Sorry I am backing out. I only use my yoyo makers and was hoping they could be all sizes.
Thanks
