Yea!!! My sisterhood badge and certificate came today. I'm so excited I can't wait until I can work on it and start earning my badges. It cracks me up that a grown woman can be so excited about something like this. I think it's because it's just fun and after all these years, it's okay for me, a grown woman, just to have fun.
Three cheers for fun,
Teresa Sue

Yay! you should have your little red hex and I can get you into the hen house to play with all the rest of the mud hens

I'm excited too. I just bought a denim jacket that I love and can't wait to add a patch to it, so exciting. I have some really choice antique lace to add. Any idea on how you are gonna doll up your patch? I can't wait to see what you've done with it!

Welcome to the Sisterhood! I love being a sister! I already have 3 "home grown" (as Aunt Jenny says) sisters, but now I have over 300 more Sisters! That is awesome! Sisters are the best!

The badges are so much fun! Some of them are really challenging, but the rewards are so awesome!

Congrats ContraryWife! (Love that name!)

I'm anxiously awaiting to find out my number and get my goodies in the mail too. I just joined last Wednesday...it's awful to be so impatient! How long does it take to find out?

Thanks all,
Sheri

Well Sheri it seems it took about a week and a half to get the package. I found out my number early tho because I had called the farm and talked to Sunny. I had also ordered something from the farm for my daughter, Shasta, for her birthday and I was worried it wouldn't get here in time. It did. That's the reason I called. Now I'm waiting for that red hexegon, LOL

Annika I don't know how I going to do it yet. I saw some of the pics that were done and I kind of liked the ones that looked like fair ribbons, I might do a take on that, I'm going to think on it tho. I do know I'm going to back mine and put a pin on it so if I want to put it on different things I can. I'm going to go to Goodwill and see if I can find a neat jean jacket. If not I might have to go to Big R and find one. Hopefully I can find one at a used store tho.
Well, gotta go, I'm staining a high chair for my grandbaby.
Thanks for all the congrats girls,
Warmly,
Teresa Sue

How exciting! That's one of the great things about MaryJane and the sisterhood - it helps you remember how to have fun! Like Theresa B told me, finding MJ is like "Oh, yeah, that’s right, that’s who I am!"

Can't wait to see your badge when you get it finished. I'm still waiting to start mine. I want to get some work done on swaps I've signed up for before starting the badge because I know I'll be obsessed with it until it's done!

God bless -

I got it! I got it!! I feel like a kid at Christmas!

I grew up in cities and never dreamed I want to be a farmgirl when I grew up. And my husband is so proud I want to be a farmgirl!

Yes, true! I would love to know how others embellished theirs? Embroidery? Buttons?

I saw some of the pics posted somewhere on the forum but I can't remember where, I've been all over, LOL They were so cute. Some had folded ribbon around the edges, some had buttons, there were just so many cute ones. Maybe one of the farmgirls that also saw the pics will chip in and tell you where it was.
