I really want to try this. But, I have no idea how to do this? How do you learn how to do this?

I imagine renovating a vintage trailer is a jump in with both feet kind of thing. Get one and then start researching and working on it...like renovating an old home. I think you should be able to join a club of RVers and get help. Probably lots of online forums. Probably groups of people online that share an interest in a particular brand of trailer. Go for it. Give it a search and have fun! I'd love to try it too!

Check out the Tin Can Tourist on the web....as well as the Sisters on the Fly site...
but like Sue said, just jump in there & show no fear!!! lol!
One of our very own(new) MJF sisters, 'the vintage house wife' has some cute pic's posted of her's on her blog.

But most importantly have a reliable person check out the frame, axel, tires & wireing for road worthiness.
We had to install a new axel on our little 1976 SCAMP. DH fabricated the replacement windows, cabinet doors & wireing....I am sure he had loads of fun doing this for me!!! lol!

My husband would love to be painting and fixing our new vintage camper this winter too. We haven't decided on a place to put it for the winter yet. I've resolved that if it sits here too much longer, I'm going to sting lights around it, put a wreath on it, and make it's presence a celebration. I told my neighbor my idea - she said I should turn it into a giant snowman. Until it get's it's new red and cream paint job - it it pure white.

Have you named yours yet Grace?
Congrats on the farm move Deborah.
