i'm soooooo proud that 'so far' i haven't cluttered the bedroom too much .. actually, it was the 'least cluttered in the house .. a 'conciliation' to honey hunk for all the other rooms i 'doo-dah' up!

only corner not pictured is hank's side of the bed .. all his books aren't back yet .. jus' empty boxes (olde paint .. up-turned to hold books) .. will post a pic when he gets it filled!

meanwhile .. here's the other three corners:

southwestern cupboard against the wall opposite the foot of our bed
love the big green chair!

wonderful turquoisy-blue cupboard (holds our bedlinens) .. it used to be filled with books .. but i realized i rarely took them out! AND .. there were books piled almost to the ceiling on top .. but i could never get to the ones half way down to the bottom! have NO idea where i am going to put all my books!!! it's just leaning against the wall right now .. but i will probably 'hang' it .. to make room for ONE or TWO doo-dahs on top!

the painting on top was a gift to me by my friend peggy jones in town .. she entitled it FREEDOM VALLEY FARM .. she 'might' paint out the 'no smoking sign' .. it was here when she took the photo she painted from .. i've never liked it by the road as you come to visit us .. and gave the real sign to kathy sugarbucket to paint something over it to sell. don't like 'NO' signs! ours is, indeed, a NO SMOKING property though .. dont' want these olde cabins going up in smoke!

these two little closets are honest to goodness . the ONLY closets in the entire house! one has hank's clothes .. t'other .. mine! we really downsized our 'wardrobes' when we moved here .. i pretty much just give away each season's clothes and start a-new about four times a year.

i LOVE the baskets and cheese boxes on top!

MY bedside cupboard table .. (holds my purses!) hank doesn't really like the dollhouse there .. but hey! it's MY side of the bed .. AND it keeps me from cluttering it with tons of books! i figger in a week or two .. he will grow used to it and not even notice it is there. I love it!!!

bathroom is being kept simple too .. only have two cupboards in there .. will take a pic soon! haven't done diddly to the 'laundry room' .. and that had MILLIONS of wonderful victorian clothing hanging in there .. and most of it .. i'm going to part with .. will set aside some of these for my granddaughters though! don't know how i'm going to do it .. don't want olde 'laundry products' in there .. i've done that already .. maybe just a clothesline with a few wonderful vintage children's dresses. and i want to get a stackable washer dryer to make more room for the ironing board .. it is SUCH a teeeeeeeeensy lilttle room! AND i want to hide the water heater with olde doors or shutters .. i do have a cupboard in there now to hide laundry products .. but it's a 'new' hand-made one .. and i want a wonderful olde piece in there.

xo

lookin good Miss Frannie!

Love that tourquoise blue. I like your idea of getting rid of clothes every season. I need to let go of clothes. I gave away all my business clothes when I moved here but I still have a lot of clothes that I want to wear but never actually do. Time to get rid of them. I too have very minimal closet space. You are inspiring me...

susan .. it is amazing .. but i do manage to get from six to eight hours of sleep each night .. HOWEVER .. during the day .. i am the energizer bunny! i go and go and go .. until i drop .. and when i drop .. i'm out for the full count!

... all energized again by the morning! i figger if we all have jus' so many hours in this lifetime to live .. LIVE them! and yes, i truly do 'slow down and stop to smell the roses' quite a bit too.

i am thinking though that tooooooooo much time is spent on this computer contraption .. and i might need a little 'vacation-ette' from it! HA! don't know how long that would last .. but i'd sure like to give it a go! xo

(haven't taken time to make a dolly since before that latest grandchild was born back in early JUNE!) xo
