Dear Farmgirls:

I just finished Judith Miller's book, First Dawn. ]It's set in the beginnings of Kansas when it became of free state. It was filled with rich history and wonderful characters. IT was a great book to read on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Give it a try.

Oh, thank you girls, for the Kansas reading suggestions! My husband and I only lived there for a year and we were quite homesick while there, but there will always be pieces of Kansas that I take with me everywhere. We bought our first home there and promptly made good friends with quite a few of our neighbors. One of which will be getting married in April, so I am so pleased to be returning to Kansas. I encourage everyone that plans a road trip to visit Kansas and meet the gracious people that inhabit the beautiful farmland! And hopefully you'll catch an amazing thunder storm. I can't wait to read First Dwan on a lazy Saturday afternoon!
