Hi Gals,

Will post this in barter too...

I'm looking for raw Merino wool roving. Can be dyed. Though I'd ask here to see if any of you girls might have some instead of going "outside" to buy.

Thanks!
Sheri

Sheri,

If you are interested in Targhee fleeces, I have a couple from the local ranch around here. Almost as soft as Merino. I bought a rams fleece this year from the ranch and it had a micron count of 21!

Hi Sheri

I normally have tons but I am all sold out right now. What I do have is rovings in natural white which is 80% Angora Bunny 20% Merino Lamb which is $6.00 per ounce or a pure white 70% Silk and 30% Merino Lamb which is also $6.00 per ounce. The Bunny fiber is from my French Angoras and the Merino is my girlfriends spring lambs. Both are Organically raised. The silk comes from a co-op I belong to. Sorry I do not have 100% merino at this time.

Let me know if any of this sounds like something that might tickle your fancy.

Hi Diana & Grace,

I'm trying a little felting project. I know I need good fiber, but want to kind of stay on the soft side. Any suggestions on whether the stuff you guys have available right now might work?

Thanks!
Sheri

Hi Sheri,
How much wool fiber are you needing? I have some correidale and polypay. Are you looking for white? It sounds like both Grace and Diana both have some nice fiber that would be lovely to felt. My daughter and I knit or weave purses and hats and then felt flowers on the item. I put up pictures of Angie's messenger bags on my blog site yesterday. We have some wool already dyed, let me know if you are interested. (I just have 20 some fleeces in the wool room in the barn that needs to be washed and carded.)

Hi Sheri
Sorry it took a bit to get back - was fixing a roof just before the big rain came falling down.

I have many wonderful wools that make excellent felting if you would like to contact me off site I can send you all the information. We can chat about what type of a project your are wishing to make, weather you are doing wet or needlefelting, also what price range you feel would best suit your pocketbook. I never wish someone to purchase something that does not fit their needs.

Hope all is well and if you wish we can chat more.
