I got a receipe on here for glass cleaner and cant seem to find the link but it calls for 1 pint rubbing alcohol and 1 Tbs of Joy dish soap(lemon) it says it makes 1 gall. Well I must have missed something because 1 pt and 1tbs will not make a gallon. So my question is does any one know what the other ingredient is?

Question #2 I made my laundry detg dry and would like to have a good scent to add. I know I can add an eo but when do I add it ? If i pour it in the powder will it not make it clump?
Thanks for the help. Karen

I kind of whisk my EO in or use my fingers to sort of break it up if it clumps a little. My favorites are lavender and rosemary. I used Lime one time..that was really nice too.

For glass cleaner, I use a solution of 50% water & 50% vinegar in a spray bottle. I put tea tree oil drops in my dry laundry detergent & stir it up real good. Then I store it in a airtight container so as not to lose the scent.

Karen, I have a glass cleaner recipe that calls for:
2 cups rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl)
1 T. mild dishwashing liquid
1 T. ammonia
2 qt. water

Here's a similar one:
2 C. rubbing alcohol
4 T. ammonia
1 tsp. Dawn detergent
Mix together in a gallon container and fill with water.

I also have one that calls for:
1/2 C. ammonia
1/2 C. white vinegar
2 T. cornstarch
Mix in a gallon of warm water. This will need to be shaken each time before use because some of the cornstarch will settle to the bottom.

If my windows are extremely dirty, I pour the mixture in a bucket and use a rag to wash the windows. If they are not so dirty, I just put some of the mixture in a spray bottle and wipe them clean.
I haven't bought "window cleaner" for several years.
