Okay so I read the first book and loved it- and I am over half way done with the second. It sounds like I am reading really quickly, but I am just listening to the audiobook while doing my everyday tasks.

I am not liking the second book as much. I hope the third is better.

Okay to be fair- the writing is fine- good even. I just don't like the turn the story has taken.

Hi Kristine-

Yup I agree! The second book was horrible. A big waste of book space.

**Spoiler alert for those who haven't read Second Book****

Okay- am I the only one that feels like the Vampire/Werewolf/Human love triangle is a bit over done? I mean there are the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter books which I love up until the latest books which are just a bit too much for me. And I can't remember the names of some of the other series, but it seems like in today's fiction- If you are going to do the Vampire thing- hey! Let's throw in a werewolf love complication too! I feel like Bella would have been too wounded to even consider another guy and that Jacob really should have gotten that and if not then he needs to get over her and move on. Friends yes, but love triangle- no.

Okay over my rant so far. I am only a few chapters into the third book so I am withholding my feelings until the action gets started.

Still Reading! Overall I do like the series and the heroine is much more believable than some out there.

Yes! I really enjoyed the series, though I am not a fan of the second book. I really liked the way the series ended. She also is going to write a parallel book to the first, only this time it will be in Edward's voice.

I just loved this series!! I agree with you Alee the second book was my least favorite. I was so looking forward to Edward's version of "Twilight" but it looks like that is on hold, although you can read the first half here at Ms. Meyer's website.

We have a pretty big fan base in the area I live...they are thinking of holding a candle light/petition sometime in the next couple of weeks for support of Mrs. Meyer. Part of me is angry at whoever leaked the manuscript, but at the same time I feel as if the majority is being punished for the actions of one. Either way, I respect Stephenie for her writing and her opinion. Here is an interesting site for anyone interested; it makes me feel a bit more comfortable for being "involved" with a group of fictional characters: www.twilightmoms.com.

Lol, I just posted in Farmgirl Barter to see if anybody had the last two books to trade. Now I find this thread...

So yes, I read the first one on a whim (giving in to the reviews I've been hearing about it!!), and fell in love!!

I was very disapointed to hear Midnight Sun (if that's the title??) is on hold indefinitely, since it would be fun to read the story from Edward's viewpoint. :)

I just picked up Twlight as a couple of my gorlfriends were saying it is really good. I CAN NOT put it down!! I am almost done and I hope I like New Moon. I think it is very well written.

Ok, so, as many of you know I am a 20 year old college student. So many girls in my sorority were obsessing over this book and I used to make fun of them. That is until I borrowed a copy of of my friend's first book. I am HOOKED now! It is a wonderful guilty pleasure! My roommates and I are so obsessed...lol! We watch the trailers for the movie everyday and talk about our fave parts in the books. I am currently reading breaking dawn and just finished "Bella's Book" in the beginning and am just about to start "Jacob's Book". I have to say that I like the way the series has progressed. I like the way BD is so far. And in all honesty, I needed the parts to happen in the beginning of BD. It was inevitable that Bella's character would progress and become more mature, especially after all that happened to her so far. I an't wait to finish the series. When I'm done with BD, I am going to re-read Twilight to be ready for the movie! My friends and I are going to the midnight showing!!!

TEAM EDWARD ALL THE WAY!!!

I'm with you, Chelsey! I'll re-read them right before I go to the movie. I haven't been to a movie at the theater in years, but I think I will be making an exception in this case. Although, movies based on books I love have always disappointed me....

I am in the middle of the fourth book and want to quit. Should I keep reading? I agree that there is a big turn in the fourth book. I also would be concerned if my child younger than high school were to read it. Should I read on?

Kristin,
Read-on!!! I really like the way the 4th book ends. Your are right, it is not for younger than 14years. I really like the way the author shows Edward with moral standing. Maybe other authors could take a hint from that.

Am getting interested. Will see when I can get a hold on the first book. Maybe library has it.
