Hi Gals,

This IS stain season, thought I'd share a tip.

Dissolve an aspirin or two in the laundry - preferably on fresh stains - launder as usual.

Works great on all kinds of stains...grease, blood, grass stains, coffee, etc. YOu can work a little in before laundering as well.
I use this a lot on quilts that have been stained with no ill effects, and even if the stain is set in from prior laundering, a little gentle scrubbing with a toothbrush and stains disappear!

I'm washing a quilt tomorrow. One of my cats throw-up a hair ball right in the center of the quilt. So, I'll give your aspirin idea a try. Thanks.

hey .. would 'motrin' work too? jus' curious? NOT the red-shelled kind though.

what are the 'properties' in an aspirin that takes away stains? hmmmmmmm .. makes me wonder what it is doing inside our stomachs! xo
