Hi Debra (JoyfulMama)

You are very welcome.

The china demitasse cup is probably a bit wee for drinking tea --- but thought you would like to add this one to your collection. It felt like holding a rosebud in the palm of your hand ---and hope it feels like a hug for you.

The lavender and lavender scented soap are from a wonderful Rhode Island home based business.

The crocheted doily comes from my personal stash collected throughout the years. Unknown maker but a fellow farm girl for sure.

Be sure to read the "phrase" about sisterhood on back of one of the tea packets.

Enjoy !

Hi Denise (Levisgrammy)

What a wonderful surprise to arrive back at work today to find your package on my office chair.

From the stickers on the package to the colorful tissue paper, the box was a joy to open.

The tea cup is perfect --- delicate and beautiful with the roses.
Your addition of the little golden spoon makes the rim of the cup / saucer seem even more beautiful.

Tea, tea and more tea. I can hardly wait to try them all. The first of the morning was the Stash Tea --- lemon spice.

Making that first cup even more special was the lovely cloth you made --- the hues matching the cup. I am using it for a tea cozy / mat on my desk.

Adding the rose pattern sticky notes and pens were a lovely touch, too.

Thank you for the kindness and grace, Denise.

It was hard to come back to work this morning after Friday's day surgery for the breast biopsy.

I am keeping busy and working on completing one more apron during the wait for the pathology report to be issued on Wednesday.

Your box in the tea cup and saucer exhange was a blessing.

Each cup of tea will remind me of your grace when it was needed the most.

Hi Alee,

Thank you so much for arranging the tea cup and saucer exchange.

You helped to bring even more farm girls together.

This has been so much fun --- and very rewarding.

Linda,
I am so glad you liked everything I sent. When we do these swaps we never really know if the one we send to is going to like what we chose. I hope all goes well with the biopsy.
hugs,
Denise

Thought you all might like this poem.....

Drinking from a Saucer

I have never made a fortune, and it’s probably too late now,
I don’t worry about that much, I’m happy anyhow.
As I go along life’s journey, reaping more than I have sowed,
I’m drinking from a saucer, ‘cause my cup has overflowed.

I don’t have lots of riches, and sometimes the going is tough.
I have a family that loves me, and that is quite enough.
I thank God for his blessings and his mercies he’s bestowed.
I’m drinking from a saucer, ‘cause my cup has overflowed.

I remember times when things went wrong, my faith got a little thin.
Then all at once the dark clouds broke, and the sun peeked through again.
Lord, please help me not to gripe about the tough rows I have hoed.
I’m drinking from a saucer, ‘cause my cup has overflowed.

If God gives me strength and courage when my way grows steep and tough,
I’ll not ask for other blessings. I’m already blessed enough.
May I never be too busy to help another bear his load.
I’ll keep drinking from a saucer, ‘cause my cup has overflowed.

Denise {Levisgrammy} --- the tea cup and saucer exchange you sent is perfect. Everyone at work come over to admire you creative handiwork and express how much better their tea would be from a lovely, vintage cup rather then starfoam cup. Maybe we have started a trend to going back to individual mugs and teacups.

Rene, I love that poem. I'm going to write it down and frame it. Doesn't it just say it all. Thanks for sharing it.

Linda I think that is a wonderful idea about goinig to individual mugs and teacups. Much, much better that styrofoam or paper.

Thanks Linda,
I am so glad you like your teacup!

Rene,
That is a beautiful poem. When I first saw the title it reminded me of my dad and how he drinks his coffee from the saucer instead of the cup. The first fews drinks anyway to cool it off.

Well the dead line to ship was yesterday. If you haven't heard from your swap partner, you should click on their forum name to make sure they have the right shipping address.

I got my teacup from joyfulmama! And it matches my Willow Blue China! I was so excited! The teacup is a different shape though like an octagon and I just love it! And she sent me some other goodies with it... tea, a pretty hand-painted box with flowers, and darling notecards of litle girls having a tea party! Thank you so much, Debra! I can tell you put so much thought and care into it.

This tea cup exchange has been so much fun, I can't wait for the next one.

Hi all,
I got the prettiest cup and saucer from Monica! AND she sent me a jar of preserves along with it. I'm planning to have those with breakfast tomorrow morning. My digital is messed up right now but I will try and see if I can get a picture to post.
Thanks again, Monica!
