I had read that MJF foods were available at Borders bookstores, but our local Borders didn't have them available. Who else retails them???

I know they have some at Costco but I don't know of anywhere other than that.

don't know where you live Carrie - but Huckleberries Natural Markets carry them, if you have one of those around you.

I don't have a Huckleberries near me in NY. We have Costco somewhere, maybe Albany, but that is one hour away. I was hoping for a chain like Borders. I want to try some different ones when we take the kids hiking this fall.

Thanks for your help so far, I'll keep looking!

I wonder if people with businesses can retail them... Hmmm maybe MJ should get into the home business market! Like Tastefully Simple but oh so much better!

I would just buy it directly from MJF. I'm sure it puts more money directly into her pocket to do things like run this forum for free. When I have ordered, it seemed like the products was shipped out almost instantly.

I have no problem with buying directly from the farm, but because I am in NY the shipping is outrageous and I do have a problem with that. I buy very little this way because I can't bear to pay double for something just because gas is so ridiculously high. It's a "bite the bullet" thing sometimes. I was hoping to just get some local so I could try them and then I could place a larger order at the farm.

That's my dilemma :(

REI and some other outdoor retailers carry MaryJanesFarm Outpost foods. I'm not sure if that's what you were looking for?

Hi Everyone,

Please feel free to call the farm any time (toll-free: 1-888-750-6004) to ask questions, and I'll be glad to help.

Let me explain about the shipping prices you may see on our Web site. It's linked only with UPS, and UPS is not how we always ship. When we get orders that will go out through the post office, we adjust the cost on your invoice to reflect that, before we charge your credit card. So, the online shipping fees are sometimes not accurate for what your order might actually ship for.

Trish, thanks for bringing up the flat rate box option from the USPS. The weight doesn't matter, and the price ($9.80) is the same everywhere in the U.S.

Carla, if you ever go into Portland, People's Food Co-op carries a good selection of our products in their bulk section.

Carrie, REI is probably your best bet to find our food in your area (thanks, Mary!).

Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help, and thank you, Alee, too!

~Sunny

Don't forget you can order them on the web! The shipping might be cheaper than gas used to go to the grocery store these days!
