It looks like it's going to storm today. I have 21 lbs. of blueberries to contend with. I need to start freezing the bulk of them. Then perhaps I'll bake up something special for the family.
The oldest daughter has string bass practice today. Sure hope the rain is gone before we have to lug that thing out to the truck. Ugghh.
It may be a "sit & stitch" kind of day around here.

My kids are going to the water park today, which frees me up to do......anything I want!!!! I have a book I want to finish, cookies to bake (I should do that now, at 5am, while it is sti;; under 70 degrees!), contend with some yard work and clean up the chicken yard. I also have to get my chicken yard mulch bin made today...oh, and OF COURSE, laundry! I hope you all find joy in your chores today :) Sharon

It's going to be 100 here today and we're under a heat warning, so I'll be staying inside doing laundry, some overdue decluttering, and cleaning house.

We have a storm here, which is great since we really could use the rain. I'm preparing a shopping list for school supplies and birthday presents for my youngest son. He turns 5 on Friday. Once I finish the shopping. I plan to wash the walls in the powder room and do detailed cleaning of the kitchen back-splash, then seal coat it. After that, I'll play "school" with my little guy and exercise. Then it will be time to maker dinner. The days always go by too fast for me.

Well I wish some of you girls lived nearby because I'm doing a magor attic, drawer and closet clean out. Lots of stuff for a church sale, and books to the library. I only keep the books that I really like. Been working off and on at this for a few days. The attic can get a tad warm this time of year. Going to keep going until I've gone through the whole house. Lots of things I've kept over the years and not sure why. NANCY JO

I'm in the same declutter mode... I'm reading my MJF posts then off to "work". I've already put a chicken in the crockpot and I think I may try my hand at chicken-n-gravey over homemade noodles tonight with blueberry cobbler for desert. (Wow, I sound so earthy...not always like this BTW...you ladies are influencing me!) I'd like to get started on some crafts. Of course I have the usual UFOs lying about (including 4 washcloths from the KAL) and I need to think about my ornaments for the swap and I jumped in to the Fall swap as well! <eek...what was I thinking???> Oh, and football officially starts today, so that means to/from town to play taxi to the sophomore! |

Well, we cleaned all day yesterday so I am just going to tidy up today after dinner. Today is all about Nora and having fun! I have a quick trip or two to the bank, though.

Just got a roast out of the freezer. Thanks gals for reminding me. I have already did my outdoor stuff today but it didn't seem as hot when I went out to the shop (where the freezers are) as it was when I was working out there. I may go out and try to mow. That is easy, all you have to do is ride around. Still pretty wet with dew. I picked cukes and going to make bread and butter picks today.

Well...it must be the heat because I have the cleaning/declutter and organize "bug" also. I was out early watering and trying out my new "Weedwacker"...cordless and it works slick....the battery lasted longer than I did! But it is lightweight too. I have drip irrigation for most of my stuff because of the HEAT here and it's a more efficient way of using water....111 heat index and no relief in site so now I'll go turn it off and take a bath because even early in the morning I was sweating! Then I'm in for the rest of the day! I went to Wally World yesterday and got my supplies for my KAL and CAL...YES! I need to do laundry, pay bills, update Quicken on the pc, clean my porch, make bread from my "starter", iron and strip wallpaper in the bathroom....LOL! I'll be lucky if I get 1/4 of that all done...I always have such BIG plans but the energy runs out before I ever get it all done!

Well, my mumsy and I were busy making dill pickles today- we put up 21 jars and are pretty happy with them :) I've put some laundry in for a wash, and later we're going back over to mum's for a neighbour's bbq, though the clouds are rolling over and I hear the rumble of thunder. And... I'm canceling the cable today! I didn't think I could do it but I'm a-gonna. I love my bbc, my pbs and my history channel but I'll manage :) More time for reading books!

Well it so hot here again today that I spent the start of my day doing some desperately needed tidying. The dust bunnies were getting so big they were going to have to start paying rent.
Now that I finished all of that I am going to take some pictures of my new weekend bargains and finds! Then possibly do up some sweetcorn to freeze. I found the nicest little plastic "ball" frezer containers at Target on Friday. I also need to cut some fabric for a few new pincushions.
