Brooke, I have been watching the news too as they said we should expect rain. They are calling it a tropical depression not a hurricane so I would hope it would not be too bad.

We're on the wet side of this storm- lots of rain likely.
Those BIG limbs still up in the trees from Rita are the only thing that worry me- all they need is a good wind and they come down- hope its not on one of us!

My hubby just emailed me to move a few things up close to the house just in case the wind gets strong. I'm pretty sure we'll lose power for a while.Otherwise I'm ready, but hoping it doesn't strengthen too much before it arrives!

Caron- looks like it's heading toward Galveston if it doesnt turn North again. Still likely nasty weather and wind later today. Batten down the hatches!

Yes I am watching the storm too. Wondering about high winds. We are on the top of a hill so when winds move through it's not good. I will be praying for you all on the coast as it's looks worse than I thought. Just check in after it's over so we all know you are ok. ugh!

Glad to hear all is well. I guess I will be getting what is left of the rain as it comes farther up. I just hope there are no tornados spawned from it. They scare me more than the tropical storms do. At least the gardens are getting a real good drink. :)
