Brooke Alissa's book and dvd set are sooo informative.. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I also love Serene Alisson's book and dvd Rejuvenate. you can get the cook book separate from the dvd.
My kiddos loved my raw food recipes.. especially the sweet treats! :-)

you know rawfoodtalk.com is a wonderful source for recipes, questions etc... I learned a lot there. There is also a book called The Raw Detox Diet by natalia rose. She says not everyone can go cold turkey so she gives you steps to making your diet more raw.. like raw fruit for breakfast, salads at lunch, a salad starter for dinner and then a cooked meal- even some meat or dairy if you like. It is a good place to start for a lot of people.
I have so much weight to lose and I have developed plantars faciitis and bursitis in my knee all from carrying around this extra weight.. I have gotta get it off quick! at least quicker :-) So I am opting for vegan and as close to 100% raw as I can handle. I want to do 100% until after my detox- I think he sent it off yesterday.

I'm going to head over there and look at that ... Well, you know, you can do it, Debra.. I lost 50 lbs in about a year and a few months ..I still have 20 more to lose (at least 10-15, I'd be happy with) ... I am very comfortable with eating alot of raw foods, I am just not sure how to do it ALL .. lol... I believe in it though. Thanks for letting me know about all this too!

Please be careful what bean you sprout. Lentils, and mung beans are safe to sprout and eat. Kidney beans, pintos, white beans are toxic, to eat sprouted. They need to be cooked to be safe. Sunflower seeds are not beans, but they taste good sprouted.

I am confused again. I am doing research and everywhere it says pinto beans are fine. I have yet to find where it says it's not good. I HAVE found where if you do it for too long, it's bad tasting.

Here's a link for example (besides the wikipedia link I gave)-
