Can anything else be used for dill pickles instead of the crocks. I don't have one and was wondering if something else could be used.

I have always made mine right in the jars..you don't have to use crocks.

The Ball Blue Book is a big help with canning and freezing,and your county extension office can help with recipes. Ours had lots of flyers with canning times for your area.
