Bible or whatever religion, belief or otherwise that you may read and follow? I am always amazed at women who wear their hair long or wear only certain typed of clothes (modest) or who even base what they eat or how they live in certain seasons. I was just wondering if anyone here does that.

I am very intrigued.

Oh Heather:
I try to follow the commandments (I can't even spell it, and too lazy to do a spell check) (LOL), I believe in God, but as some say, I am more spiritual. It doesn't bother me if others follow the Bible, wear their hair long, short, or eat what the Bible says to eat. Each his/her own. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!!!!! Yee-Haw to the Texan. LOL

Marly I'm about the same. I am spiritual and believe in a God, but I also keep an open mind and spirit to others beliefs. I wish to lead a more in-tuned spiritual life and have been working towards it. I do not belong to a church, but I do pray and will light to others and pray for blessings for them. I find God the most in the natural world and love to try and live close to the earth and all of its beauty. I also follow some of the Buddist meditations and thoughts, they help me with seeing the big picture and in accepting things. I too, am interested in modest clothing and am most comfortable in long dresses.

I do believe you'll get into Heaven with the beliefs you stated. Your posting was nice to read. God is with me in everything I do, I can almost feel His presence. Today I saw God in an old ladies smile. It made me smile. Thanks for posting your feelings. Have a great day.

I believe in the Bible, try to read it everyday and I also believe in meditations, its call being still to hear. Spiritual is a good positive thing. I don't volunteer to help because its a good deed. I do it because I am bless and love to see the goodness, kindness, love it creates. The simplest thing as a smile, a hello, a nodd can make a huge difference in someone life.
I am comfort wearing pants but I also am just as comfortable in longer dress between the knee and ankle. The way people eat I think is also produce of you surrounding and what grow naturally, as well what you plant, your up bringing. I truly believe a positive force/attitude is important. To love, to share, to laugh, to worship, is always been a very positive attitude in my life. I sure enjoyed it.

I am basically christian, I love Jesus(!), I do read the Bible.. but I don't go to church and don't consider myself "religious" but spiritual... I believe in some unconventional things (spiritual things) that some christians would possibly not believe .. I also do reiki and angel card readings (hence the reason I said some christians would not like it) ... I love herbs and such ...I have been thought of as a witch (Yes, I probably would've been burned at the stake back then..) but I love Jesus so I am not sure if that would work ...(hmph) LOL! I've never said I was!!! I don't quite know if all this made sense but it gives you a picture of who I am ...lol...

I believe in nature. It is a wonderful source of power, energy, and sustenance. I am also spiritual, but do not believe that there is one sole religion to govern all others. I try my hardest to follow my beliefs to the fullest and be a kind-hearted, giving person. I also plant a garden and give back to the earth and try to reuse as much as I can.

I believe Jesus is God's son and he died for my sins.

I try to folow the 10 commandments, but we ALL fall short. Hence free grace, freely given, with unconditional love. No other "religion" practices this.

It's something we all ought to practice. I think the world would be a better place. .

The rest has all been muddled by human interpretation and misunderstandings mostly taken out of context.

Not all religions are the same. There is only 1 true God. Look at all the other religions. Christianity is the only one with a God figure who calls his followers TO HIM with NO STRINGS (free grace), not the other way around with followers calling the diety to them.

But by the same token, I also try not to judge. If I see Menonites or Muslums or even nuns and priests, whatever. God love US ALL and its not for me to judge. All I can do is pass God's love on to others and try to live by example. It's hard sometimes

And pity the bad apples in all societies who give the good ones a bad name too. I'm thinking of the EXTREME bible beaters who do judge and condem, or for that matter other religious examples that make a mockery of their beliefs and cloud our perceptions. Its in every culture.

And some might ask so why do bad things happen to good people? That answer is: we are all inherently bad, we are ALL sinners. I know of no one whi is perfect, including me. Jesus died for our badness so we could live in heaven. yes?

I'm a believer in Christ as well. Wearing your hair long, wearing dresses or making certain food choices aren't salvation issues so I don't concern myself with them.

I try to read my Bible daily, live by Biblical principals and pray for my family and friends. I treat the earth as the Lord would want me to. I try and not muddle my life up with any other nonsense.

I think Annab has said it best in my opinion.
