this is what it looked like AFTER the furring strips went on (to keep the buggies from taking up residence between/behind the boards!) those big window frames will be dark forest green too .. i LOVE the red/green (christmasy combination!!!!)
took down the 'potting bench in front of the house attached to the little 'summer kitchen' (actually .. it's my SEWIE room!) .. the bench was ROTTING away!
want to have tall flowers here .. this needs another coat of paint .. it is taking THREE coats .. the wood is jus' sucking up that paint!
Boy Frannie, this has been a big job! Not to mention all the things that have to come down,be sorted and put someplace. The paint job is looking really nice, look forward to more pictures. NANCY JO

(ha! jus' this week .. i got that wonderful schooldesk from luna . .the incredible EARLY washing machine from kathy .. and from glovers station .. i finally got my much wanted antique cast iron waffle pan. (i find the things i am mostly buying now are the more expensive things .. but i'm willing to let go of lots of the littles for some really special ones here at freedom valley. the only thing i have hung back up on the walls are PHOTOS!!!
well .. i best git back downstairs and go through another pile or twelve! xo
hey carie .. who in Much Ado said that line? hank and i were in that play years ago .. and i don't remember it. he was Borachio and i was Lady Margaret. xo
Red and Green, I love it! It really is a great combinaion. I know what you mean about going through all your stuff. I have been doing the same thing. I also am only buying what I really love and starting to weed out the a lot of stuff I have had for ages. The pieces I like now are more expensive too, but let's face it what isn't? I don't know I just feel the need to pare down a bit. It seems like I have a lot of things I am just keeping that I don't really use anymore or really even like all that much. Just used to having it I guess. Time for some changes.
