Here's what I started with: An old crate I bought at a church basement sale.

I cleaned it up and here's what it became:

A bookshelf for tall books! My dh didn't think it was a 'good thing'! HAHA! Fooled him! ;)

I used to have one of those years ago and did the very same thing! (Great minds think alike!) Darling! And my ex used to have one of those coin banks from when he was little in blue. You go girlfriend! I ALWAYS need more room for books! Love the picture.

Very creative Janice, seems to me you have been on a real roll of late. Painting large trailors, working on a very large farmhouse, taking care of more lillies then I have ever seen in one place. Makes me want to lay down and take a nap.

That's awesome!

It must be time for Alee to get glasses because what I read was
"Magic! Fruit _CAKE_ becomes a bookshelf" and I was thinking
"I gotta see this!"

Slow down, Carol Sue. I think I'm a bad influence on you, girl! First you overdo the gardening thing, now this! Your dh won't let you come out and play anymore if you don't watch out!

Cute idea!! I am always trying to come up with ways to make storage or shelving out of everyday objects. The idea of just a normal, straight piece of wood bores me...ha!!

Hey girl I have been out junking today went to Campbellsville, to Sapps Antiques, He has a top of the line antiques , not for the weak in the pocket book, but I did buy some old white vintage clothing and Toms wire rack, Also went and bought another freezer, I wasnt about to let my peaches go to waste.
