well, gurlfrenz .. another TUESDAY has rolled around! doesn't TIME jus' seem to FLY!!

what you kids up to today?

my day will consist of going through more STUFF .. and finding a spot for it or pricing it for the antique mall. (i'm hoping the 'paint job' on the back porch will be finished today .. so i can 'put the furniture back against the wall and 're-decorate')

hope to do some 'weeding' .. any excuse to get out in the gardens! OH NOOOOO! i'm not going anywhere near the 'snake pit' garden! HA! it is sooooooo full of WEEDS that i'm sure Jake and all his kith and kin are hanging out in there!!!

this evening, i'll head for town when honey-hunk goes to his weekly Rotary Club meeting .. and i'll head over to Arts Council and help paint some more of those BARN QUILT boards that our county is doing!

what are your plans for TERRIFIC TUESDAY?

Depends on when our rain is going to roll in here. I may take the girls out to the creek to muck around and to the nature center for some fun. If it rains we'll go to the zoo. Love a rainy day at the zoo - not many people are there.

Sew, sew, sew - and I'm not a seamstress by any means. We will be camping this weekend - so I have to do my part to have the trailer cushions ready. Curtains might happen next week.

Also keeping 3 kids fed and productively busy while I try to be productive. Reading and spelling is on their to-do list - though they don't know it yet!

Enjoy your Tuesday!

The storms just rolled through here. I have to take my teenage daughters friend home. I have to run to the market and get the mail. Then I have to do some laundry (hopefully someone else will make breakfast) and then paperwork and more paperwork.

I was out early this morning cutting bunches of chocolate mint, pineapple mint, lime mint, chammomile, and cinnamon basil to bunch up to dry. Then picked some tomatoes and green peppers. Filled my bird and hummingbird feeders, and picked up a bunch of black walnuts that fell from the neighbor's tree into my back yard.

It's gonna be a scorcher here today(100 w/typical high Misery..er Missouri humidity), so I'll probably stay inside and get some housework done, then tonite will continue reading "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle" and maybe knit a bit with some friends at my local yarn shop.

So far this morning it's been pretty productive here, we got several bids out earlier and I've done some follow up calls on earlier quotes. I'll go to my other job after I get off here today for several hours, then off to see my mom at the nursing home/rehab. When I get home tonight I have to do a couple of loads of laundry and try to organize a little mess I've created by sorting through old bills and receipts. I'm such a pack rat.

I'm trying to clean out my room. I am going through everything and throwing out what needs to be thrown out (stuff I can't salvage), giving away what can be donated and organizing what I am keeping. While I was studying in Mexico this past month my Dad used my bedroom as a storage area while he had the rest of the house cleaned. It is a complete sty and I can't wait until it is all clean and organized!!

I wanted to do some weeding today but I think I will wait until tomorrow. It is a rainy icky day today and it's actually pretty chilly.

Speaking of SNAKES... We went to our arboretum for a walk in "nature" (and exercise!) and on the dirt path near the creek right in front of us .. was a silvery/grey long snake basking in the sun.. He had noted we were coming and turned up his head and was staring RIGHT at us .. Now I am trying to get over my fear of snakes somewhat .. I didn't even notice it at first, and my husband pointed it out that it was right there, and I jumped and went the other way!... I am trying to figure out what kind of snake it was.. My husband doesn't think it was poisonous .. we also saw a tiny one with yellow in another spot.... they are out and about today!!

I got to my daughters house at 6am to take care of my two grandsons until their moms get home from delivering the mail at noon. Went and cleaned a house in Hershey and while there I was given a beautiful old dresser, a red purse, and storage bins for toys! Got home at about 6pm and went across the street to hold a two day old baby girl! Came home after they pried her out of my arms, did the dishes, vacuumed, hung a load of laundry out, and took a shower. I'm done. Going to bed! Susan

This morning I picked up my friends son from summer school again, then picked up my grandkids. All of us went to some stores and then out to lunch at Pizza Hut. Then we went to the park and my they all took turn playing tennis. We were all laughing so hard all day, it was great fun. Then I came home and went back into town with Tom for his check up on his eye again. We came home and really attacked the bedroom. It's almost ready for the new rug! I guess we better get shopping for that new bed considering he burned the old one last night! I washed all the wall paper and it turned out great.Looks like new again. We got the oak wainscoting all polished up too.Tom is painting the ceiling and then we are finished.I just have this feeling this is going to snowball into a whole new look for the bedroom too!

What did I do today??

Took the kids to mom's. She took them swimming while I did my spot clean at the apartments. Stopped and grabbed lunch on my way home. Mom brought the kids back home. She never picks a nice day for swimming. It either storms or it's extremely hot. Today was our second hottest day of the year. 95 but the humidity was horrible. I got a call about another possible cleaning job to check out tomorrow. Stretched across the bed to try to take a nap. It didn't happen so I gave up and went for a good long soak in the tub. Matt and Hallie got into a cussin fightin match. They have both had a very bad case of the potty mouths here lately. I know I let off some that I'm shouldn't and I'm really trying to watch it, but the words they used today aren't words that I use. They heard them at their dad's house I'm pretty sure. I've tried talkin, grounding, spankin aaarrgg, today they had to hold a half a bar of soap in their mouths for about 2 minutes. I know that sounds really mean, but you know what I didn't hear one more dirty word from either set of lips for the rest of the night. And we didn't have anymore fights break out. We had an easy dinner. Then I got back to work on my niece's doll for Christmas. I finsihed it a little bit ago. I don't know. She's pretty wild. I put her pic on my blog if you wanna check it out and tell me what you think. I'm not a seamstress by any means, but I feel like this doll was a little better than my last one. Well I'm off to bed and hopefully tomorrow I can start on that really cute apron I found online last night. :0
