This is a great thread! I have learned to reconnect with the women in my family who have gone before me. My mother and grandmothers are all gone but by living the farmgirl life the sense of who these women were and how they lived their life has taken new meaning for me. Because of that, I feel their presence around me cheering me on and guiding me.

MaryJane has taught me that a simple life is so much more satisfying than the life full of modern trappings. Who knew that using MJ's dusting spray (basically water & EO) would leave me with a feeling of accomplishment and pride. I never got that feeling when I dusted with Pledge and I paid a whole lot more for the Pledge!

I'm like Alee, I could go on and on...

Perhaps one of the most important things MJ has taught me is that a woman of my age (50+) can still make a difference in my life, the life of my family and the life of the community I live in. Age is no longer a barrier just because the world says "you can't do that, you're too old"!

I have learned to heal. Not sure how MJ did it....but my mom died a year ago yesterday. A week after I caught me husband with...well... you know. A year before mom's passing to the date my ex-husband sued me and won custody of our 14 year old daughter. I have been so lost, so alone. No one from my mothers side of family has contacted me since her funeral...not in a whole year. No one called me yesterday to say hi. But I come here every day and read the most amazing threads from somme of the most amazing girls...I've read MJ's book (the first one) and decided right then that this, this froum, these women, are my saving grace. I've only been a member for a month now and the difference in me, inside and out is remarkable. My co-workers have noticed, my husband (we are still together-I am NOT a quitter), my friends and most importantly, I have noticed a difference. MJ makes me want to be a better person for myself so that I can be a better person for others around me. Okay, now I'm crying!!

PS: this is not about winning this game, I could care less and would be just as happy without. I just wanted ya'll to know how you and MJ have impacted my life and how very special I hold this beautiful place in my heart.

MaryJane has taught me that it is possible for a whole group of women can meet online--and even though they are strangers, they can create bonds of friendship. I love that there is a place I can go to vent, learn and love. MJ has given us that!!!

Also, that when one door shuts, another one opens. It seems like MJ has had the chance to do so much in this life; she just doesn't back down from whatever challenge that comes her way. I try my best to keep an outlook like that.
