Nothing. I just don't worry about it. My Hubby and I work at the same school which is only 5 miles from our house. During the summer we travel a lot by since we don't much during the year we just don't worry about if. Gas has actually gone down about 15 cents here in the last few days!

Use my imagination more when I stay home. Luckily, this place is all about mass transportation, but it definitely is noticed when we want to go upstate to visit the country

Think about consolidating my errands for sure..with 4 kids in all sorts of things I try to make one trip out of two whenever I can. I am glad my mini-van gets pretty good gas mileage.

Make a list of where I need to go, then go one day and do it all or most of the errands.

I drive much less than I did before. I consolidate trips and do all my errands when I am in town. Some days I don't even start the car. Gas has gone down a little here in the past week.

Even if I had the money to purchase as much gas as I wanted, I would still make the changes. It just gripes me to pay that much for gas.

I make sure to time my trips so they don't coincide with Nora's naps. This way we can get all our errands done in one trip and go home. We go for fun walks and spend lots of time in the parks that are nearby.

We bought a hybrid Prius a couple of years ago and boy we're glad that we did! We still stay in a lot more than usual, try to do all our errands on the same day, and our trips home to Tennessee are getting fewer and farther in between.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

:( not pick huckleberries as much as I'd like too. I've re-evaluated what I really need to "go" do. Even though my car gets 30 m. to the gallon (yay) I just don't do the spontaneous trips or visit like I'd like to as much as previous years. It's DH's truck that gobbles the gas. Maybe I'll go hide the keys. :) Of course, it's hard to do farm work without a truck.

We make a difference.

Nothing really. I really like to go and I still do it. Luckily
most of the places we go aren't to far away. Well, there is one thing we quit doing, we used to go the stock car races every Friday night, but we quit that. Between the rise in ticket prices and the 50 mile drive it wasn't worth ir anymore.

I plan out my errands and time them so that I am at my son's work at 3:00 to pick him up. Then on the way home, I can make that last stop at the grocery store and head on home.
Gas came down here today - from $4.09 to $3.98 from last week at this time. Whoo-hoo!!

Make each trip to town count. We live 10-15 miles from 3 different towns. I never unnecessary trips before and I certainly don't now. We really haven't cut back much.
