What a great site! Thanks for sharing it with us. That is one of my concerns with SW Idaho. So much of the farmland is being turned into housing developments. It is so sad and scary at the same time. Too many just do not understand the food in the stores started out on a farm!!

You can take the farmer's daughter off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the farmer's daughter!!

I went over there and signed up too-altho I do admit it took me a couple of tries to figure out where the bumper sticker thing was-computer literate I'm not.
Now I can't wait!

I'll have to check it out Julie. Can you believe here in the Garden State they are trying to do away with the Dept. of Agriculture? Go figure. They want to be able to develop the land.

Hey, Julie, I just signed up! Since my husband works for the Department of Agriculture I'm hoping it stirs some discussion there. And we're planning to expand our little garden next year and be able to sell some of our crops so I'm excited to find this website. Thanks a bunch!

Mary, I hear ya, girl. So many of the subdivisions around us were family farms when I was growing up. I remember my dad talking about the subdivision that went in where his old ballfield used to be. Later it they put one in where he had his old horse-riding trail. The "(Family Name) Farm" is now the "(Family Name) Subdivision." Thanks to MaryJane and the farmgirls, we're working on plans to expand our little garden and start a truck garden next year. It's something Robbie's always wanted to do - I just wasn't as optimistic 'til now.

God bless -
Karen

Thanks Julie,
I signed up too! We are thinking of having a farm girl booth to promote a new group at our local farmer's market in May. This would be a great item to give out at that time!
Thanks!
