Oooh frannie I like that one sign...the kiss me goodnight....it is really cute, sweet and simple :)The one about not worring...that is me alright.....you always find some neat things that seem to strike a cord with not only yourself but others as well I suppose that is why they are called treasures :-)

I've not taken the time to read all the comments - but I caught a glimpse of your photos this am right when my mom called. She and I spent some time in "the back bedroom" of her house last week wondering where to start decluttering. When she called today, she had made some progress but was frustrated. I said that she should see what Frannie is tackling! Way to go Frannie! Can't wait to see the finished schoolhouse.

oh yayyyyyyyyyy ... the painting is 'almost' done! i'll take some pics!
NEXT .. the FLOORS. gonna' paint the WHITE and YELLOW (in the hall/bath/bed/laundryroom .. GREY .. to kinda' meld in nicely with the chinking between the logs.
will proably keep the kitchen a mellow PUMPKIN shade.
THEN .. the "OUTPOST" ... want to wait t'il it isn't so HOT out there before kathy and krew have to start on that project! she's very busy with her own place too. she put together an antique log cabin on her property and built another adorable 'outbuilding' .. i'll take pics of it on my visit on Thursday! she's getting ready to do some 'shows' there .. hope ya'll that aren't too far away can come. luna and i will both be 'demonstratin'.

always like looking at your treasures Frannie..what a chore though to go through all that and sort things out.
I must say I love all your little dolly and childrens clothes items.
I found my little gal Hannah some vintage dolly clothes..I'm going to use them at the new place to decorate her room with them.
I'm going to get picture frames..the kind that are the frames only..then "frame" the dresses on their hangers with just the blank framing hanging around the dress on its little hanger.(no glass/no backing, just a "frame" around the dress hanging on the wall with a mini hanger)
anyhow..really cool stuff you have found over the years.

sure makes a room look BIGGER when you 'de-wall' it! i only went from 'white' to 'linen' .. with one MUSTARD accent wall in our bedroom .. but oh my! the clean, fresh look of it! (it does make the floors look even 'shabbier' though .. can hardly wait to get those painted!)

tina .. that will be adorable .. i have done that both with the 'plain frames' .. and also .. under glass .. the only drawback that i found (at the time) was that the frames take up more wall space .. sooo .. you can't get as many 'pretties' crammed on there .. but NOW .. i think i'd rather have LESS .. and choose only my BEST. i don't think i'm going to put the 'pretties' back in the laundry room .. want to go total primitive in there ... i think i'll TRY to stick to vintage 'laundry' products. YESSSS .. i will miss them .. but when i DO get that schoolhouse cleaned out .. i have tons of room in there to decorate.
wanna' see your framed clothes when you are finished.
and i am choosing (HA .. at THIS point anyhoo!!!) to look at this as a 'fun challenge' .. to re-visit treasures that i almost forgot i had because they were so crowded .. and since neither of my gurlz LOVE the primitive style like i do (and i was my youngest daughter's age when i fell in love with it) ... i will only save very special things for them .. love some of what i have .. and release the rest to the world through 'adoption'. (funny ... but i do not like the word SELL!)
don't want to do a lot of box-hunting, wrapping, post office runnin' and mailin' right now .. but eventually, some of the 'easier' things to box up and mail will end up in my 'mudpie manor mercantile' blogsite for 'adoption' ... might post some pics here from time to time .. and always to my 'true friends' list via e-mail.
well .. o.k. then .. what with all that said .. time to check out just how much FUN going through all that stuff is .. downstairs with me now! xo

didn't have to clear this wall .. cuz' i'm leaving the paint like it is here.
this one too .. have lots of my antique cast iron on these walls.
this one too .. WILL take everything off to give it a good scrubbin' though ... and mayhaps not put 'everything' back!

VERY EXCITED .. about what we've decided to do with this stone chimney wall .. this faces into the kitchen .. it is the OUTSIDE all of the 'upper cabin'.
gonna' MOVE the oven/stove to t'other side of the room (white wall) beside the fridge. not sure why this wasn't done originally. i've ALWAYS wanted to open up that stone wall without anything in front of it!

these walls were FULL .. so crisp now! (ha! probably not for long!)
there were two 'new' painted shelves above the 'hen laying box' (i keep cookbooks in there!
decided that this is where the stove will go! will probably either sell or just paint (barn red) the shelves and hang them on an outbuilding to hold plants and cool buckets and such!

this was my VERY FIRST primitive antique i ever bought .. thirty some years ago in Colorado .. it's a 'baker's table' .. with a zinc top. it has one HUGE drawer the size of the table .. for baker's pans, flour, rolling pins and such .. the zinc top always stays cool . for rolling out dough. isn't it wonderful!
got this fabulous general store scale (it works perfectly still) from an olde general store deep in the mountains of colorado.
this wonderful 'computing cheese cutter' came from the same general store! (it is long gone now!) it holds big ROUNDS of cheese .. you 'set the slice size' .. and the round wooden base 'turns' to allow you to make a precise cut.
these are three of my mos' fav kitchen treasures.
