this evening, we picked a huge bowl of blueberries .. i have some fresh cream to whip .. some pecans to top it with .. oh yummmmmm!!!

gotta' check one of my four billion cookbooks for a cobbler recipe!

Frannie,

If you have a Joy of Cooking cookbook they have a really good recipe for cobbler. It has an oatmeal, brown sugar, butter mix that makes the top and bottom that's really yummy. I've never had anything better.

Hey Frannie.....I picked up a Fine Cooking magazine last week and I was going to try the blueberry, peach cobbler recipe (hubby loves peaches and I love blueberries) on the cover this month! It looks absolutely DELICIOUS!!! You are welcome to come on over and have a slice or >>>>>> If ya want I could send you the recipe!

Frannie,

My never fail cobbler or crisp topping is:
1 cup flour (or 3/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup oatmeal)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
Cut butter into mixture until crumbly. Top sliced apples or other
fruit that has been mixed with sugar, cinnamon and bits of butter to taste. This makes a crispy, carmelly topping...YUM!

Wait!!! Hold the presses and your pastry blender!!!
Please, please change my above recipe to:

1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter

I lost my mind for a moment. I couldn't bear the thought that
I left out a half cup of sugary goodness. Now get to bakin'!

sounds yummy! About how much blueberries would you use?

We picked 21 lbs. yesterday - I need to start baking.
