I have 3 already - a unicorn over my left breast, a wizard on my right should blade, and a rose on my left ankle. I'd like to get a dragon on my left shoulder blade, and my children's names on my lower back :)

I have nine tattoos. Yes, nine. the list is...
Left Calve-Phoenix Right calve-flying water dragon left arm-celtic knotwork band Right arm-tribal dragon left shoulderblade-Hawthorne fairy right shoulderblade-rougn dragon between shoulderblades-wizard This one is in memory of my stepdad and his face is the wizard lower back-gilded iron work sternum-chinese symbol for earth
I will get one more and it will be a "naughty housewife". My bowling team got a new member, someone I don't exactly like, but get along with. She needed something sewn, I did it. She needed a recipe, I had it. She needed advice on a stain, I knew it. She mentioned she wanted a tattoo, Amber says ask Aimee, she has a ton of them. She said I am like a naughty housewife. the more I thought about it the more I like it. One of those 50's style pinups with an apron and a whisk, or hanging out laundry. Doing something housewifey, but sexy, naughty kind of thing.

I have one small tattoo on my ankle. I'm considering getting a big back-and-shoulder piece of two Japanese-style dragons, with a head near each shoulder, and bodies going down the back. Several reasons for this tattoo - spiritual, ancestral, and artistic. Given that these types of pieces are also hugely expensive, it's low on the priority list at this time.

Well, no tattoos here - I think I'm just too contrary. Sure enough I'd get one and in two years I'd change my mind about it! :) If I ever did get one, I'd get a little verse of poetry in script somewhere..

I'd get "MOM" tattooed on my tushie and when I did a handstand, it would say "WOW". Just kidding...no tattoos here and no plans on getting any. I hate needles as it is and they are way too expensive to throw my money on.

I didn't get my first tattoo until I was in my 30's. It was a gift from my children so after 3 months of searching for just the right unique peice I got it done. It is located just below the nape of my neck. It is an old celtic symbol of life. I put it in that location because over years that area of your body does't really change alot; it almost always stayed pulled and tight.

I've planned on getting the same thing for about 10 years... a peace dove holding an olive branch, with the inscription "Luke 3:22" inscribed underneath. I keep thinking that it should be on my shoulderblade... but so far I've been too chicken to get it done.

I have a Cherokee Medicine Wheel on my upper back, between my shoulders. Next up is a floral print going across the top of my right foot. I am sure there will be more.
My kids gave me my first tatoo 3 years ago as a mother's day present. So I was 45 when I got it.

I got my first when I was 28. It is the wicked witch of the west on my left arm. Then about 2 years later I got Kuan Yin on a lotus holding a heart. It is thick black lines, I really love her. Luckily I have a friend fom high school who is a tattoo artist. She is so nice and only wanted $20 for the first, I gave her a $30 dollar tip. For the second, I told her I had $80, make it as big as she could, it is a perfect size for across my lower back. I would like to have chrysanthemums on my foot an ankle to cover some scars. I have waited to get one where people can always see it. There is still alot of social stigma connected to having tattoos.

I have a hibiscus flower surrounded by 8 butterflies. The flower sybolizes me and the butterflies are the five babies I have had and and my 2 nephews and 1 neice. I have a few more neices and a nephew to add to that though. The color of the butterflies are the kids' birthstone colors. I love it. Since it is across my shouder blades it can be hidden.

1: Interlocked stars across my lower back 2: Fleur de Lis on my upper back with the words Amor Omnia Vincit under it (love conquers all in Latin) 3: an Om symbol on my right cheek (not face cheek) :)
I would like another one, on my foot maybe, but haven't figured out what yet...

my second son...who is 28 now..got a little heart with MOM in it on his chest. At the time (he did it on Mothers day a couple years ago) I was NOT thrilled..but now I look at it like his attempt to show me he cares. He is a cutie and I have to smile. Not many 6'4" guys probably do that.

No tattoos for this babe. Pierced both ears and that's enough. Most of the time you have to hide them from your employer, so what's the point? I guess I'm also too conservative.

I would love a a tat on my big toe from the end of the nail to the end of the toe. I saw one last week and my daughter and I both loved it. It was a delicate flower design. My daughter has 3. The sun the moon and the stars, a real beauty, on her left leg above her ankle. She got that after her divorce, she said she would give herself the sun and the moon and the stars! Another one across her back in between her shoulders at the nape of her neck a beautiful butterfly and the gothic design on either side. And one low on her back a very inticate gothic sign. Her husband now, says that one is a tramp stamp, but he likes it. Too bad if he didn't it's there to stay!! She too put the 2 big ones where they can be shown or hidden. she's a nurse and at the hospital they are hidden, out of work she shows them when she wants too.

Jessica, that's so funny....I laughed out loud...'WOW'. Ha ha....
None here for me, although I went through a phase where I seriously considered it. I even had the artwork decided on. A friend recommended drawing it on where I wanted it and leaving it for a week or so, to see how it felt/ looked in different situations and clothing. Eventually, the interest wore off, it wasn't as necessary as I thought at the time, and now in my much more mellow days I am oh-so-glad that I don't have one. It would have only reminded me more of a time/ phase of my life that I am already slightly embarassed by.

I have to say, I am loving you all for this. I didn't know my farmgirl sisters and I had so much in common..lol So, okay, I have 3 tattoos.. A 4leaf clover on my left shoulder blade with "CRs girl" written over top; the right shoulder blade has a blue daisy scroll. On my right hip is an ornate side butterfly. ....I got all of my three first and then got hubby hooked. He and I went to get the last ones together. :)

No tattoos for me. I have this morbid fear that I would be allergic to the dye's used. (I'm allergic to almost EVERYTHING that people aren't normally allergic to. It's CRAZY!!! And a bit SCARY!) But I would love to get one if there was a guarantee I would not have some weird reaction. Not sure what it would be, though I really like the butterfly designs. When I was seriously condidering one, I thought a dagger with a vining rose around the blade would be cool on my ankle. You never know!!
