OH my goodness!!I couldn't choose...

"Proud to be an American"- Lee Greenwood -remember that being played when we graduated bootcamp and again before I went off on my first deployment.

"Remember when"- Allen Jackson- a lot of that applies to me and hubby and came at a time in our life when we decided to get married and live our dreams.

"Carrying your Love with me" George Strait- enough said!!! : ) <3

A lot of Jimmy Buffet lyrics apply to how me and hubby feel about life, love, people, etc...we would be parrot heads on motorcycles if we could... : )

There is a song by Bruce Springsteen that makes me weep something terrible. It was a song that was "ours" an old boyfriend. Then there is a song by Lyle Loveitt that also makes me cry..and dance...It helped me through a tough time. That one is the most important to me..I cant find the cassette tape I had..Lyle Loveitt and His Really Big Band.. it was a song about a little boy and riding his pony on his boat. I wish I still had it.

"The Long and Winding Road" by the Beatles It was the song that I had played at my husband's funeral. His childhood friend of 38 years played it and to this day whenevery I hear it those feelings come rushing in - I would not call them sad - just I feel my husband in the song.

I'd have to say "Drive That Fast" by Kitchens of Distinction. My husband put it on a mix tape for me many years ago...

Anything by Jethro Tull will bring back my own teen years or my early childhood. My dad was a big fan, and I listened to all his old lps when I was in high school.

"Your Song"... the Moulin Rouge version sung by Ewan McGregor. I walked down the aisle to that song.

"Any Man of Man" by Shania Twain... I remember a high school 4-H dance where I met one of my high school crushes.

"Shout" by Tears for Fears... In college my campus ministry group sponsored a Christian rock concert on campus with a band who was big at the time. After it was all said and done and the equipment was packed up, we all ended up at a Ruby Tuesdays, about 50 of us including the band and their roadies. While waiting on our food, this song was playing, one person started singing, and by the 2nd verse the entire restaurant was singing along (even complete strangers). It was a fantastic night, good times with lifelong friends.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Elephant Love Medley- Moulin Rouge soundtrack - fella and I always used to crank it up in the car and belt out 'our' parts. Lol.

Pink Cadillac - Natalie Cole - Dad used to always play that song on road trips when we were real little.

Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said.

"Two out of Three Ain't Bad" by Meatloaf. He sings "I want you... I need you... but there ain't no way I'm ever gonna love you... so don't be sad.... 'cause two out of three ain't bad..." Reminds of my first true love. He as much told me that he'd been hurt by someone HE'D really loved, and so he could never love anyone else for fear of getting hurt again.

But you know what? I saw him 15 years later, after I'd already been married 13yrs (and am still married-- 18yrs this September) and he told me that he was sorry for what he did to me (leaving me for the chick he married... AND DIVORCED within 2 or 3yrs and raised their daughter by himself). He also said "There was this connection between us.... "

WOW!!! He admitted that leaving me was a mistake and he wished we'd stayed together-- that we'd probably STILL be together if he'd not been so selfish! It made feel pretty good and finally helped me close that chapter of my life for good. Now I can die a happy woman without still asking that age old question ... "I wonder if he ever thinks about me...?" Because I know he DOES!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. ~~ George Carlin
