Well, I am almost 2/3rds of the way thru my time in Ireland and definitely 2/3rds thru my cooking school curriculum. It has been great! No question. But I do miss home... I remember reading something MaryJane said about her being a "homebody" or I guess in her case a "farmbody" - not liking to stray too far from home. After almost 20 days in Ireland, I can understand what she means. As comfy and cosy and welcoming as everything and everyone here is, I long, long, long for home. For those of you who remember that my home is in a perpetual state of remodeling, you'll be amused to know that I even miss doing my dishes in my bathtub. I never would have thought I'd say that in a millon years 21 days ago!
I am eating exotic foods from every continent in the world and my head is so full of knowledge I believe it might explode. Not to mention how my tummy feels tasting everything. I am trying to walk even more now than ever to keep up physically with all that I'm doing. My Mom is well and enjoying everything as well. we have put her om a much easier track at school but as she still has to keep up with me for everything else, she's pooped. We head to Kinsale tomorrow for our day off. It is billed as the Gourmet center of Ireland and it is where the Lusitania sank so we'll have fun I know. Also the Kinsale boat races are this weekend, so more crowds to contend with I expect. Watch my blog for a report with pics on Monday.
Well that's all for now. Keep well each and every one of you, I miss you to bits, Karen
