My children definitely! If your children are able to respect you as a parent, that means that you've done a good job raising them and that they'll be good parents themselves when the time comes.

Definitely my kids...to earn their respect, a parent has to be good at their "job"...and my mom is always commenting me on how well I am doing raising my children. So, I guess if you raise your kids to respect you, then your parents will respect you in return!

wowzer ... interesting .. we've all said the same thing.

but hey .. how will our children answer this same question in the future?

i do believe that if we teach our children respect .. then respecting us will come naturally. xo

I would say the respect of my child is most important because she needs to respect me and my authority to obey me, my parents will always love me no matter how much I goof up!

Respect of my child coming from a child (me) who does not respect her parents much in the way of ethics, morals and values. Once I became an adult and now parent, it is my life to live it as I please. I have a responsibility to my child that is greater than anything my parents could expect of me.
