Hi Marly. Nice to meet you. My name is Kelli and I live in Michigan with my husband and five children. We do not have a farm yet, but hoping to have one very soon. For now, in addition to the husband and kids, I have three large dogs. three turtles, a blue gill and a plecostamus. Welcome. |

Hey Marly, welcome to the forum, you will love it here. I live in Maine with my eight cats, one kid (my daughter, not a goat) and I was only in Louisiana once, but I loved it. Looking forward to getting to know you...

Hi Connie: Thanks for that explanation. Never heard of such a fish. Good to know. I live on one and a half acres. If I had 5 acres, I would have lots more animals. Thanks for the welcome note. Marly

they are pretty cool fish. my daughter had a huge one named mo (for mohawk) at one time that jumped out of the tank and was laying on the floor dry. i went to pick him up with a piece of paper and he moved so i put him back in the tank and he lived for several more years! peace connie in alaska |

Welcome, Marly! My daddy was from Louisiana, Tioga, to be exact. My maiden name is "Long", like Huey P., so don't hold that against me :)....I live in Kentucky with my 4 dogs and 3 cats, and a husband, a garden and nice little cottage.
You're going to love it here!!!

Hi, Marly! A big hug and warm welcome from another Louisiana farmgirl. Where in LA are you? I'm in the Northwest part, about 10 miles south of Ringgold. We're glad to have you!

Thanks for the welcome Laura. Do y'all ever have a crawfish boil? The crawfish were super good this season. My sweetie (husband) and I have traveled all over the USA, and, to me, southern cooking is tops. I agree with you. How is it up there is WA.? Thanks again for the WA welcome. Marly

Thanks Jonni! I love all the welcomes. This Farmyard is just so nice. Lots of friendly people. Good to know you aren't related to Huey P. Long. However, maybe it would be good to be related to him. Sounds like you have a wonderful life in Kentucky. I have 7 cats and 1 dog. Long time ago, my piano professor told me that my house was big enough for 17 cats. My husband disagrees! Ha Ha That's my goal, to have 17 cats. Thanks again for the welcome. Marly

Hi Chris: I live in Louisiana. We have a very small garden; tomatoes, okra, onion tops, parsley, and a few other herbs. Hello to your son. If I could stay outside from morning to night, I would, too! Have a great day, and a happy one. Marly |
