Oh, frannie, wouldn't that be 'the bees knees' for sure! Someone who wanted some chicory.....I could give them a wagonload(or three). I know it can be used as a coffee substitute(Euell Gibbons-Stalking the Wild Asparagus) I just don't seem to have the time to figure out anything besides chunking it out of the way of my daylilies. I need a crew of helpers.....maybe a partner or two(besides my dh, of course-the poor guy is working extra at his other job as it is.)

Come on over any time, Wilma! You'd be surprised how rare it is to find someone who does know how to weed! HAHA! I posted some new daylily pics in the Garden Gate thread and there's one I think you need! :D

Carol Sue - If you ever see one you have a particular love for, you better tell me.....and if you PROMISE not to overdo your gardening again.....I'll ship it(them) out to you. And I mean a for real promise! Which ones do you have now? I can post pics of them(can't remember exactly) for you.

Janice- Do you get to use tools to weed (like a hoe) or do you have to get down and do all the hard work yourself?

Alee - When my dh has time and can get out to the farm, he will run a tiller between the rows for me. But in some of the beds, the weeds got ahead of us so fast(too much rain too early), that I have to dig them up. Last week, we had some rain, so I was able to pull out a lot of them, without digging. But the chicory was so tall and rooted that I had to dig them out. It took several days just to clear out one bed. Three down, five to go! :O

Oh my gosh Janice! It sounds like my fights with the common mallow, stranglevine, foxglove and other nasties that are in my yard and garden! We can be weeding experts together!!

Sounds good, Alee. Maybe we could get designated as "Master Weeders"! ;)

Carol Sue-I can post some pics of the daylilies that went to your house if you remind me of their names. I remember Condilla and I think maybe Midnight Magic?

Haha! I agree! We can be Master Weeders!

I was watering my lawn this morning and realized I am really just watering the weeds! *sigh*
