I have decided to definitly make the room spray with distilled water instead of alcohol. I had been thinking of changing it, but was encouraged to make it so. Besides, I really want to'green' as much as possible in my home.

Allison, I do like your tip of a rag with the oil on it. I'm giving it a try!

I can get them at my local pharmacy. Health food stores have them too.

I was one of those eye-rollers! But, now...I have a little metal case full of Young Living Essential Oils...and whatever is wrong...whether it's with my horse, my other critters or me...I go straight to my "first aid" kit and get my essential oils.
They work. It's as simple as that.
Ah, the beauty of simplicity.
I want it in my life more and more these days.
Don't you?

How do you become and aromatherapist or are there books that I could learn about it for my own personal use? I love great smells but it sounds like there are lots mroe uses for health and other areas that they can be used for and I would like to learn all of that too. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks,,,,this is a great thread!

Faith....thank you so much! I remember awhile ago you told me about YLEO's and I looked them up and I am just trying now to use up what I have before I start ordering the YLEO's...plus pay off the Christmas bills! LOL! I will also look into the isha website. I love learning and this is something I am really interested in. thank you so much for all your wonderful information, encouragement and enthusiasm! I will keep in touch and let you know what I learn.
Love ya!

Okay, I have a question: I want to make paper air fresheners. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what kind of paper I should use? I received a gift of a vintage playing card or relica made into a freshner... Please help?

I find YLEO to be very overpriced for what the oils are. I buy my essential oils somewhere else for much cheaper and they are extremely good quality. The idea of aromatherapy is sound and healing. I just don't see where overspending on them is the way to go.

I woke up on January 1st and it was 2009.
And it's been that way ever since!

Suzanne,,,,where do you buy yours? I looked at YLEO's too and I was amazed at how pricey they were but then I have never shopped for them before either.
Thanks!

You have to have a business license to buy from them. They have been my primary essential oil vendor for 15 years and I have never had a single complaint about them. Great quality oils, the customer service is superb. I have been to their facility a couple of times and I have always been treated so well. They are southeast of Portland Oregon.

You can certainly find cheaper essential oils than Young Living elsewhere, but the results are not the same. I say, take the time to read the fine print. Find out where the cheaper ones are coming from, how they're distilled, the percentages, etc.

I discovered this is just like everything else...You get what you pay for.
When it comes to health...give me the purest product available!!

We'll have to agree to disagree. Young Living Oils may be awesome quality, but the prices are still out of tune, in my opinion. I have seen the website, I have smelled some of the oils. I know that people will defend them to the death. They have very good marketing. That's fine. Again, not for everybody, not dissing anyone's choices. Just not my choice.
