I found some great bargains this week. I got an bottle of eco friendly dish washing detergent, some stickers and a coloring book for Charlie (we got through stickers around here like candy), a whole pack of greenie scrubbies, some wooden clothespins and some plastic storage bags,some small bags of popcorn to send DH and a snack of Cheetos for a treat for me and Charlie. I love the Dollar store, Dollar General or whatever else name it falls under. What are your favorite finds?

I love the cards. They have a really nice selection and for 2 for a dollar,you can afford to send a lot more. I have found some nice paper and gift bags at a fraction of the cost of other places. I always find some good good buy in there. So does my husband he gets pails and sponges and storage things for his garage.

I love the dollar store too. I went a couple of weeks ago and they had cards 10 for $1:00 can you believe it 10 cents each!!! I send cards for everything so i racked up. They always have great deals. Karen

I just bought 6 really nice water glasses there- I looked on the bottom and it said "Made in America"!

oh . p.s. i did check with my opthamologist to make sure this was o.k. every eye doctor i've had said the dollar store glasses are just fine for my eyesight. (ha! i figure i probably could have purchased a few of the hundred dollar prescrip glasses .. but i know i would lose them just as easily!

oh yes .. i, too, like to get gift bags and gift tissue there too. sometimes they have some really unique ones that i don't find at other stores. and i can't see paying $5. for a gift bag when the dollar store $1 are almost just as cute.

I love the garden decorations that they have! That and I can get Huggies diapers there for almost $1 cheaper!

Our small town has only a Dollar General Store and a Family Dollar, along with IGA and Save-a-Lot. I get all I can at the Dollar Store. Several of you mentioned their cards. Not only are they cheaper, but they are really nice--about the same message as Hallmark!!
I get school supplies for the grandkids, dog food, milk and paper products for church. Great Store!!!!

I need some of those grocier cupon organinzes; been
meaning to get me some of those
No one seems to have them these.
I love Cherrios. too

We have a really great dollar store nearby (99 cent only store) and we find alot there ..everyone knows us as shopping there and finding the deals... we have to! but it's great to get a bargain.. we find all kinds of great things.. from bread to shampoo to food, etc... we've even got organic valley milk and butter there before... it's a life saver sometime!

Frannie, I got a pair of reading glasses from the DG a few months ago. Doc told me my eyes were probably a lil better than 20/20 but he said sittin in front of the computer and reading alot could give me eye strain and headaches. He suggested the reading glasses in case I started having these probs. They work pretty good. Mainly just use 'em for readin now. Found something that works better for computer time, a bigger monitor. It's kinda pricey, but it doesn't get lost. 
What else do I buy at the dollar store??? Gift wrap, cards, gift bags, clearanced christmas ornaments, flip flops
(Don't know why but I'm have a bad flip flop fetish this year. Used to refuse to wear flops because of my stubby toe, but now I really don't care.), ummm.. whatever isn't nailed down that I can use and can't get a better deal on anywhere else.

My flowery, pink and white polka dot housedress came from the dollar store near the farm. I love my Dollar Store.

Oh did I get a great deal today at the Dollar General!!!! They had some vases marked 70% off. They look like crystal. I'm sure they're not real crystal but anyways. I bought three of the bigger ones for $2.40 a piece and the smaller one I got for $1.60. I couldn't pass them up. I love making flower arrangements so these are great!!

Hmmm.... what CAN'T you find in a dollar store? We have a new one that's also got frozen, refrigerated AND fresh food! Though you really have to get the "Fresh" foods on delivery day-- they tend to spoil much faster than what you buy in a regular grocery store. My guess is they're already past their prime when they hit the shelves there, but if you use them within a day or two they are perfectly good.
That store is HUGE!! The first time I went there I was completely overwhelmed!!! I'm not prone to panic attacks or anything, but I sure was having a serious case of "Sensory Overload!" (not prone to THAT either, but there's just SO MUCH STUFF in there!!!) Fun places to shop!!! ~~~ Tracy
