What a stinker...and welcome to my world! I spent $50.00 on a feeder that was supposed to keep them out, and I've put red chili pepper all through my sunflower seed, but it doesn't stop em--like they've got little gas masks on or something! They are quite the acrobats!

My husband has just taken to throwing tennis balls at them to scare them off (for about 5 seconds)...

Looks like the view out my dining room window. The squirrels are rampant this year! When my brothers were here, they took to shooting them in my mom's yard. I told them to stay away from mine though. I was next door when my brother spied one at the window, went outside with the gun and the poor little thing just flew through the air when it was hit. Nope. No matter how much they thieve the bird seed, I cannot kill them.

I can totally sympathize with you on the yard rats (aka squirrels) raiding the bird feeders! We have a bumper crop of the lil devils this year. Squirrel proof feeders don't stop them one bit. And as if raiding the bird feeders and hummingbird feeders wasn't enough, they've dug up several of my flower beds as well.
