What about this book for the project you asked me about? It's about the size and type of a Golden Book, maybe a tad smaller. It was published by Saalfield in 1952(give or take a year-it's at home, I'm at work). It has little short stories. Even one called "Mary Jane's Friend" - check out the traffic policeman and his white gloves!

See my nifty page holders? Only a farmgirl would use clothespins!

Oh, that will work perfectly for that project, Janice!!! I adore those illustrations, and the stories are cute to boot! True, your page holders are TRULY farmgirlesque, and soooo you. In such a good way!

May I purchase it from you, my dear?

Sometimes I get lucky, Alee. But I've always been attracted to children's books, so I guess I notice them(and will dig through piles) in a thrift store! LOL!

Jonni - I'll send it out on my way to the farm tomorrow. No charge for this one, girlfriend. ;)
