What is your favorite homemade dessert? I love all sweets but my favorite to make is a sheet coconut cake. I usually make it on special occassions but sure wish I had a slice right now! It's almost 10:00 at night and here I am craving something sweet!

Our family fav is Chocolate Delight ~ some call it 4 layer chocolate pie. They also like a white chocolate ~ strawberry pie. They ask for both all the time and will fight over who gets the last piece. (Hubby's favorite is the old standard Pineapple Cream Pie.)

My mother makes homemade baklava, and german chocolate cake. Hmm...it's hard staying thin at our house, come to think of it!

Haha Susie..I don't think this list of sweets will curb your craving!

In the summer my grandma's recipe for zucchini chocolate cake is our favorite
In the winter it's bread pudding with homemade caramel sauce
Not so easy staying thin here either

I love pies, and out of all of them I love butterscotch pie the most...but if I'm going to have cake, it's going to be Ruby Graven's (my mother's elderly neighbor) Chocolate Texas Sheet cake. In fact, if I ever have children, that's going to be their birthday cake, every year--no choices (well, unless they are allergic to chocolate!)

My favorite cake is German Chocolate and my favorite pie is pecan. No one in my house likes coconut or pecans so the only time I get either one of my favorites is when I visit my aunt. There's nothing better than visiting my Aunt Nancy and eating one of her homemade desserts.

Chocolate mousse! The recipe is on my blog somewhere. I also like chocolate chess pie and peanut butter pie both with cookie crusts.

Well, I used to have this all the time when I was a kid, but then somehow didn't have it anymore and forgot about it (maybe mom did)
but now I made it again but I loooooove the apple crisp I made the other day. It is to die for and so simple to make! I think that is my favourite. However, I flip over english trifle or tres leches... lol

So many to choose from, rice pudding, bread pudding, chocolate pudding cake, lemon meringue pie, german chocolate cake, blackberry cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, apple crisp...... I can't think of a desert I *don't* like!

It is a tie between my grandma's recipe for homemade baklava or my recipe for bread pudding with bourbon cream sauce. Yumm-o.....now I gotta run to the store!

Oh Susie it is sooooo easy, just a bit time consuming! I'll email you a copy of the recipe if you want!

Zan, chess pie is a typically southern menu item...it's literally eggs, butter and sugar. Oh, and a little vanilla. It makes a sort of custard. Now, I've never had a chocolate chess pie because I'm not much for chocolate (excepting Ruby's cake--see above), but I do make a regular chess pie and a Lemon chess pie)...took it to the last Burlington outing with Miss Wilma, actually.

Good and sweet, with a tall cold glass of milk!
