lordy! feels like it's a million degrees outside right now! i've stayed inside today .. jus' hanging' .. doin' a little reading .. catching up on mail and magazines .. doin' a little cleanin' .. lordy! that dust did gather while i was gone. i gave the laundry room a good scrubbin' .. even pulled the washer and dryer away from the wall .. WOWZER .. if the bible teachin' is true ... "from dust to dust" ... there's a buncha' people either comin' or goin' in my laundry room .. (i've scooped 'em up and laid 'em to rest in the compost heap!) i'm in the process of 'de-walling' all my treasures . .cuz' Kathy Sugarbucket is comin' on Sunday to talk to us about painting the INSIDE walls .. and puttin' a tin roof over the schoolhouse porch.
she invited me to spend two nights and three days on a 'gamblin' boat in Indiana. (her sister won two free nights). now, neither kathy nor i will let go of a penny unless we're gonna' get an antique or some fun back for it .. soooo .. that boat won't be makin' any pennies on us .. but FREE is FREE .. and i need a 'gurlfren' fix .. and can't think of anyone i'd druther be with than KATHY. (she's in the process of fixing up her two olde log cabins to sell her antiques from .. they are awesome .. can hardly wait to see them full to the brim.
i think i've also decided to release TONS of my 'pretties and prissies'. will get to that soon .. i'll let ya'll know when they are up for adoption and you can check out my MUDPIE MANOR MERCANTILE BLOG-SITE.
been on the phone today with daughter wednesday .. we have a few more trips to make up to toledo this summer ... Iszabel will be 'christenend' soon .. and Lucas has a mid-August birthday to celebrate .. followed by another birthday party for Sofia mid-September.
I think we're gonna' plan a trip to NIAGRA FALLS and take along Lucas, Frankie and Sofia right after the christening. (Wednesday doesn't want to travel that far just yet with little Iszabel).
I haven't been there in many moons. Has anyone visited lately? Any ideas or tips for me?
well, kiddos .. i gotta' get busy packing for my fun little 'get-away' tomorrow!

Holy Crow it's hot here too Miss Frannie...and our A/C decided it was time to lay down on the job. Thankfully, we have two window units, but we use them to cool the bedrooms. We have a log cabin, and it is insulated really well, so it isn't so bad!!

| Frannie you are always a hoot! I am having an almost perfect day. Weather is perfect, sitting on the deck with the cd player on listening to my folk CDs, stiching a dish towel for my mom and watching the hummingbirds. Tough life but someone has to do it. Have fun at Niagara Falls. Are you going to the Canadian side? I think that side has the best view. If you do "go over" there's a wonderful butterfly attraction nearby. Just remember to take your passports or birth certificates. JoAnn |

jo ann .. we will have to gather up whatever i.d. (i think it is just birth certificates) for the kids. it's not 'sealed in stone' yet .. but .. i'm pushin' for this little trip. we were going to take a 'cottage' on one of the lakes in michigan for a couple weeks .. but can't find one available at this late date! (i'd actually RATHER go to niagra falls .. i reeeeeeeely want to show the grands different parts of the country. canadian side for sure!

THANKS FOR THE SWEET WISHES FOR A GOOD TIME KAREN .. AND SAMANTHA .. our log cabins can get quite hot in the summer and quite cold in the wintertime! we want to get some 'screen doors' made for spring and autumn! xo

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE some screen doors....that could actually be a good honey do for the DH  !!! Right now all we have are these weird storm screens...they are working on 20 years old!
