Sooooo.....HI!!!!

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Jamie. I live in Virginia. I'm a lover of simplicity and all organic things. I love to figure out tricks to make organic foods and products more affordable on my budget. Yes, I'm on a budget!! I'm married to a WONDERFUL man. He has FIVE, YES...FIVE, lovely children. And with these FIVE children (ranging in age from 19 months - 26 yrs old), comes all kinds or reasons for me to NEED simplicity in my life!!! Only one child (the 19 month old) is mine by blood. The others are his (which I except the roll of step-mom to two of them, the 10 yr old and 19 yr old) from two previous marriages. Yep, I'm his third wife, and let me tell you.....THIRD TIME'S A CHARM!!!!! I lead a busy life, I sometimes struggle to find new dinner ideas (I get into a rut easily). I like to figure out ways to do things simply. My work as a Logistics Analyst for the USMC is challenging and complicated at times.....So I like the homelife to be as fun and relaxing as possible. For all these reasons is why I'm here.....I look forward to communicating with others here and finding new friends and new things.

Thanks,
Jamie

Welcome to the group Jamie!! Sounds like you are busy!! I have 4 kids at home and three grown ones and the older ones can keep you as busy or more than the younger ones, can't they???
It will be fun to get to know you!~!

Hey thanks Jenny and Ann!!!

Yes, busy busy busy!!! I went into work late today so I could spend some quality time with my little one, Zach, and we had a blast watching cartoons and playing with toys in the living room!! It was nice that it was just the two of us for a little while. Then I took him to the sitter and off to work I went.

I too agree about the older ones! But most bus[y]ness is managable as long as I do my best to stay organized in life.....sometimes I do better than other times..... :)

Welcome Jamie from south central Kentucky. I know what you mean about getting in a rut with preparing a meal. I could do beans and potatoes at every meal, but hubby wouldn't agree. I tried to do a weekly menu--sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. We have our own meat and garden, so lots of variety available--just need more imagination.

Greetings, Jamie! Welcome to the farm! I live in Norfolk, Virginia part of the year, and the rest of the year in southern France with my French hubby. It is so exciting to find another Virginia farm gal pal! Everybody is right; you will love it here. So much friendship and so much to learn from everyone. Hugs, Nance
