I have some beautiful buntings that I ordered for my front porch...but I'm wondering how to set the colorfastness so that the red and blue don't fade into the red with the first rain....any of y'all know how to "set" the colors?

I'm not really sure what you are trying to set but here's info that will work on fabrics.

You could spray a water repellant on them. This will give a good seal.

This may do the trick but is mainly used in the washing machine to stop colors from bleeding once they are washed again..so may be worth a try.

Either add vinegar to the wash, or use several sheets of Shout color catchers. it helps keep colors from running together. Here is the link about that product: http://www.shoutitout.com/preserve-colors.aspx
it is at most drug stores I think.

A couple of handfuls of salt in the wash water usually works. I do this for fabric I dye.
