I was reading some posts about the fear of the lint from felting in the dryer. The way that I was taught was to get a pillow protector with a zipper, and put the knitting in it, zip it up and put in dryer. All the lint stays in the pillowcase.

This does work. Another thing I have learned is to also use this method while felting as the lint can also clog up the water pump in the washing machine. Experience is a great teacher.

You're right Eileen. I do use it in the washing machine as well. I just pop it in the case and go.

Cool!

I will have to try this on the rag quilt I just sewed up. It isn't really felting but all those snipped threads cause the same sort of problem.
