They look sort of like razor clam shells or maybe shoe horns, but that is the best i can come up with at the moment! I'm sure they are neither, but I'm going to have fun hearing all the other girls' take on it!

How long are they?? I busted out laughing thinking they are prehistoric press-on nails. ;-)

Perhaps they are something for shoveling soil or gathering stuff....or to help eat something like rice. I began to think they look like what they used on that tv show survivor.

They appear to be made of bone, or horn. Which makes me think that they're some sort of native relic. Did you ask, or were they in something that you purchased at the yard sale?

How big are they? What material are they? Smooth? Brittle? Thin? Thick? Are there any signs of wear? Tool marks? Heehee, the archaeologist in me is coming out.. :)

The pointy one looks like it could be some sort of awl, perhaps for leather work, basketry etc.

I was thinking maybe for measuring out seeds and a dibble for planting them.

Wow what imagination we have....Lol,yall sure know how to make a girl laugh! They are made of wood kind of thin with a dip in all but the one looks like a needle. The needle looking one is 6 1/2 in long the others 5 1/2 in long. All are very smooth. No signs of wear ( maybe they didnt know what they were either). I didnt ask the people at the yard sale because everything was donated and I didnt figure they had any idea either. I just thought they were interesting and thought someone somewhere would know what they are. Thanks for all the questions, keepem coming maybe we'll figure it out together. Karen

Very interesting. They do look like shoe horns and a dibble. I wonder if we're close or if we're all waaaaaaay off? I hope you find out and let us know. I'm curious!

They do resemble shoe horns but Ive never seen any this small in width. They're not even an inch wide. Karen

I know this is a stretch, but I first thought they are pieces of a toy. A part is missing though...flat panel with inserts. The only reason I thought that is because my grandpa used to make all kinds of wooden toys--mainly puzzles--and one of them had shoe horn looking thingamabobs. Hmmmm....otherwise the Dino-press-on idea is good!!!!
