I was wondering if anyone here has a U-Pick berry or pumpkin farm? If so what berries do you grow? Are you finding that it is profitable? Please email me as I dont check in here near often enough..busy outside with garden and kids. TY Kate

I am proud to say that I did find the info I was looking for. I was so happy to find that most state university extension services have most of the farming information that a person could want. Projected yeilds, plant variety suseptabilities and resistances, and a wealth of information on value-added agriculture all for the serious farmer. I am also excited to share with you that dh and I will be buying our farm in the next two months!! WOO HOO! and so the adventure begins.

I am looking at a farm adn we are thinking of growing berries in a hoop house. I heard the county extention was a great place to get help. I'll be anxious to see what you think of the experience.
we wont be able to even start til next year. Im wondering if part of yoru farm can be declared organic if all of it isnt.
