I just bag them up in serving size, usually 2 cups for us. Don't wash them before hand, as you can wash them when you take them out of the freezer. That way they don't stick together. They will freeze like marbles.
Luckly you! 10 lbs of strawberries. Awesome!

Oh yes, the strawberry freezer jam is really good, too. The recipe is on the Sure-jel instruction sheet.

Boy howdy - Miss Wilma tells the truth. Strawberries, blueberries, eat em up quick! But they do freeze thank goodness. Rinse em, let em dry, and put em up in plastic bags in the freezer......then get them out and use them quick. My granddaughter loves them frozen - like a little icy treat!

I lay my clean berries on a cookie sheet so they freeze separately. Then I put them in gallon bags. I can pour out the amount I want and put the rest back in the freezer.

angie i have always wanted to try that method, but my freezer isn't wide enough. i guess i could do them a few at the time in a cake pan...but that would take forever with so many strawberries :) i usually let them dry on the counter and them bag and freeze them.

You could make popsicles for any little ones (no matter their age ) ! This is a kraft recipe that I have had since I was younger!
INGREDIENTS 1 qt. ripe strawberries 1/3 cup KOOL-AID Tropical Punch Flavor Sugar-Sweetened Soft Drink Mix (the pre-made kind, I also like using Country-Time Lemonade) 6 paper or plastic cups (5 oz.) 6 wooden pop sticks or plastic spoons Remove the stems from strawberries. Measure the soft drink mix using a dry measuring cup, leveling it with a straight-edged table knife. Place strawberries and drink mix in blender container, cover. Blend on low speed 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or until smooth. Pour evenly into paper cups. Freeze 1 hour. Then, put a wooden pop stick into each cup. Freeze an additional 3 hours or until firm. Peel off paper cups to serve. Let stand a few min. at room temperature to soften slightly before serving.
My kiddos love this recipe!!! We make them for fourth of July with blueberries floating in them and all the yada yada!

I slice mine with an egg cutter. This is great for when I want to make smoothies. I don't have big chunks that don't blend up this way. I lay them on a cookie sheet and place them in the freezer for a little bit, then bag them. I have a seal a meal. That is a great thing for keeping out the frost.
Oh popsicles. I love making those! When we were kids, my mom had some plastic popsicle forms. I wish I had them now.
