We have a neighbor that is a TRUE FARM GIRL, as most of you know I am always wanting to laugh but not tonight. I will try to make this as short as I can, When my friend Gabby, was two years old her dad passed away, her mom was left with 8 children to raise, This family was as poor as poor could be but with help from everyone she did get the family raised. There was no money for school because the older ones had to work to help food on the table. So as to Gabby her nick name, in the past 7 years she has lost her husband , her mother, a brother and sister, tonight we are expecting another brother to die from cancer. Gabby has had the burden of taking care of 4 of them, she works harder than any man, she has a small farm and milks a few cows, I do not know how any woman could have survied what she has been thru, She never ask for anything, I couldnt begin to tell you what a hard life she has had but has never complained. I have a special request to ask of all you farm girls, Do any of you want to send her a card, I just thought it might make her happy to know we are thinking about her. I am not a person to ask for anything but if you want to stick a dollar in the card it would sure help out there, I am telling you this because this girl is desperate. If you dont want to a card would would still be special. If you would email me I will give you her address.After this is over I will have her write you a thank you. Gabby doesnt know I have written this so it will be a big surprise to her and cheer her up Thanks farmgirls Miss Wilma

Thank you so much Amanda,we didnt think he would live thru the night but with cancer you never know, I am so proud of the farmgirls that are sending cards, Gabby doesnt know she is getting them. My husband has been helping to get her hay cut and baled as she cant leave his side. Gabby is the type that would drop what ever she was doing to help you if you needed her

I just wanted to let all of you know I will be out side for a few hours but will answer emails when I get back in, and wish to thank all of you so much, I just wish I could see her face when she starts getting those cards you know when life throws us hard licks there is nothing like a friend

Sherri yes I got it and sent you the address I will do it again, Girls there is just no way to describe Gabbyand her whole family, she is the youngest and has had to care for most of the others another brother is in the hospital now and there is no way she can leave this one to go to the other. Fortunately the others are married but dont live around here. She never has loved a house but can overhaul a tractor and work any farm machinrey there is. She learned to drive a tractor and trailor with her husband and they saved enough money to buy the little farm before he died. She was 50 at the time and was not eligble for anything ss wise until she is 60. In the time her husband was so sick and after she has had 3 bedfast members of her family. She has one son that is very good about helping her but he works full time and has two small children. Like all families there are some that dont do their part so the burden of care and bills has fell on Gabby, Yesterday she told Sterl that Dooley wanted Sterl to have his hay roller, He knew that Sterl would see that she got her hay baled. I couldnt do enough to repay them for all the times they have been there for us. Like I say I am not the biggest tither in church but when it comes to someone in need I will be there. I wish to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart and please let me know anytime I can help someone else. Money is not everything but kind words of kindness are worth millions

Girls I cant believe how many emails have come in . I thought this morning oh no I have done bad this time but what farmgirls you are, If I miss any of you replying please let me know.I have cried all day just from the kindness you all have shown. Miss Wilma, I picked her up a little devotional, like I mentioned...not that she'll have any time, or want "to think" but it might help her one day.

Jeannie, thats what life is all about. I feel so bad that I cant do more, I get so busy I sometimes forget to do the things I should, We have just gotten back, I took food and am so glad I did because she is by his bed night and day now, he seemed a little better but we know it cant be very long. Sterl is going over tomorrow afternoon and roll her hay for her. thanks so much for all of you

God really has a way of showing us how blessed we are by bringing to our attention someone that is a lot worse off then we are. Thank you for making the decision to do this. You are being a blessing to Gabby and to all of us by letting us help. (Love your neighbor as yourself. Romans 13:9)
