My nephew just found out that he has lymphoma. He is 16 and of course terrified. We all are. Please keep him in your prayers.

I'm so sorry Jenny. Please let him know that he is in my prayers. My son has a friend going through the same thing. He found out about 3 months ago. Blessings to him and his family.

He'll be in my thoughts and I'll be sending good wishes i his direction. Poor kiddo, all I know about lymphoma is that most types are not fatal. How scary though, your whole family must be terrified. I know it dooes mean much to you at the moment, but I think one of the really positive things about living in these tumultuous times is that medicine is progressing at full speed and many illnesses once thought life threatening are now curable. Thanks so much gals. This is one very special guy. I watched him full time for the first 3 years of his life and he means so much to so many of us. I sure appreciate you all circling the wagons for him!

Jenny, I pray for your nephew and for all of you who love him. I know there has been great strides made in the treatment of Hodgkins. Many are successfully treated and go on to lead long full lives. God Bless him and you.

Jenny, my dad was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma 20 years ago and has done extremely well after only an initial treatment of radiation therapy. After that, he's been his wild self ever since ... doing all things he always did to drive us crazy but enjoy life to its fullest (cliff diving, hang gliding, volcano tours ... you name it!). Hang in there! I know this is a scary time but medicine has improved so much since even my dad's diagnosis so I can only imagine all the progress that has been made in treating HL.

And in the meantime, we'll just keep praying!

Blessings, Lea

Thanks so much Lea..that helps alot. Sounds like his doctor (who is REALLY a good one) feels like he feels like Jaryd has alot going for him and will do well with treatment. He is giving lots of hope. He will find out about treatment starting on Monday.

Thanks so much!! I heard from My SIL ..his mom...today and they are going to Stanford tomorrow to see a Ped.Oncologist since even though he is adult size he is under 18. He will likely be released to his local adult oncologist and start treatment..but they may need to go to this one for the chemo and all. He is doing well and was out fishing this morning...keeping busy while he feels good.
