Just wanted to share with you the wonderful finds from a weekend Rummage Sale.
I got the cutest (and useable) little washboard. It's about 9x18. I wanted it so I could do hand-washables in my bathroom sink. It was only 50 cents! I aslo got a bag full of rick-rack in various colors. About 8 full cards and others that were only partial. The whole bag for 25 cents. I got other cool items too and spent less than $7! A farmgirl-dream-come-true! Don't you just love a bargain?

"Textile salvage and archivist"...lol...I love it!
I went to an estate sale a couple weekends ago and bought 20 really old, little china sandwich plates...all different, for ten cents each. I arranged some of them on my kitchen wall. Prettier than any painting. I also bought 5 really old rotary hand mixers and hung them on cup hooks under a kitchen shelf. Looks really cute. My kind of decorating for under $5!

I vote for Diane as the winner this week -- love the image of little china sandwich plates on the wall! Although Sleepless found that rick-rack. . . hmmm. . . . oh shoot. You're both winners. Taadaa!

Good job girls!

Nothing like a bargin. I went to an estate sale and got three boxes of ric-rac, bias tape, buttons, zippers...all kinds of sewing paraphanalia(sp) for $4! In one of the boxes was a pair of pinking shears. I was thrilled! Yee Haa!~

I think we've all won. After all, one farmgirl's trash is another's treasure...
Of course if you want to compete we could start our own Farmgirl version of "so you think you can find a bargain"!
Off to use the little washboard now,
Sharon
