For several months I have had an unwelcome quest staying here and I am just about to get fed up with him, He is constantly underfoot, Everything I attempt to do he tries to stop me, , If I want to use my hands he raps my knuckles,If I am standing up he hits me in my knees, wheh I am at the machine he hits me in my back, He has twisted my left arm to where I cant slap him, when I set down in a chair he locks me down so I cant get up. Now the old COOTS name is Aurther. Now I am not a person that takes mean people very well so I have decided that I will fight him til I die. If any of you have any secret weapons I sure could use them

He's a tough customer for sure, Miss Wilma. My mom had that same guest for most of her life. He had a hold of her hands so bad, she couldn't play her piano after a while. What does your doc say? Does anything like Advil help?

Miss Wilma, That darn Arthur has been an unwanted guest here for the last ten years. I try to ignore him, but he sure is a stinker. I try to keep moving so he can't slow me down too much, but he really made me feel lousy after I dug some holes to palnt some things in. I told my son and daughter they better dig the holes for me, and to avoid
Arthur at all costs. Some of us just have to put up with him....

So good to see you posting again! Keep those fingers moving! My sister uses warm moist heat, and has even had to have a shots in her back. She said one shot recently left her back numb for a day, and it was the best day she had in years! A day without pain. You are right, the best thing to do is keep moving, eat well, and find comfort in what helps the most. ALso, drink lots and lots of water. The doctor told my sis that to keep the body and joints hydrated with lots of water helps. When we have the flu and ache, it is often because we our dehydrated. Keep your humor, gal! We love you.

Miss Wilma, I must have been having sympathy "arthur" with you over the weekend!!! My darn left hand hurt so bad sometimes I couldn't even write a check! Luckily, most of the places that dear Janice took me in Louisville accepted debit cards :)

Old Arthur must be getting around because he sure has been hanging around me and bugging me a lot lately too. One thing that helps me, believe it or not is magnetic hematite. I wear a ring around my thumb and ring finger and a bracelet. It works for me.

Keeping moving helps too. And of course having your great sense of humor :- )

We sure did have a good time, Miss Wilma!! That Janice knows all the ins and outs of that wonderful city. We started out at flea market, then to Antiques stores and then thrift. If I hadn't had to meet Jus back at the B&B, I could have gone on til the cows came home!!!

I've not heard from Lisa in a few days, but I've been off the computer since Thursday.

Old arthur has been aggravating the snot outta me since I was 12 years old (I have chronic adolescent x-chromosome related osteoarthritis). I have found aside from joint replacement, osteo-bioflex (I think that's right) has been a God send (you can buy it at Walmart but wait till it goes on sale). Aleve is good and exercise helps tremendously-tho it usually causes a flare up afterwards, the benefits far outweigh it.
Good luck my friend.

Miss Wilma, I don't think anything that has to do with you could ever be boring!

Reminds me of a Dixie Chicks song... "(Hello Mr. Heartache, I've been expecting you.) Come in and wear your welcome out, the way you always do". Sounds like he & Arthur might be related!

Arthur comes to visit my left knee constantly..makes me almost as cranky as he is!!
I take Glucosomine condroitin and the doc prescribed daypro..which I take daily...still...sometimes the only thing that helps is a heating pad on my knee. I wish I had answers...if you get some tell me!!!

Just popping on to let you know some doctors(in Sweden) are treating their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon cinnamon powder before breakfast. Add that into hot water before Breakfast to make a "tea" and good luck!

Oh pesky Arthur...what are we going to do with him!! I have tried the Glucosomine stuff in the past and it helped too. There is also some stuff called biofreeze that works really well that you rub on where you are hurting. I think I still have a sample packet of it.

I have your package ready to mail out Wilma. :) Will put it in the mail in the morning.

Miss Wilma

I got some rings this past weekend from a guy at the Etown fleamarket. They were only $5 each. He also had other pieces of hematite. I've also seen them sold at craft shows by people who do jewelry from stone beads. I'm gonna google hematite and see if anything comes up. Will let you know.
